Baselines Pub

this place used to have a different name, before it became franchised.
It was better then, too.
They didn’t have UFC, and no one threatened to fight you if you were shooting pool during a televised fight.

Things sure have changed at this place. The service is great, food is awesome, you can really tell that the people that work there care about their customers. The place is also clean and it has a great atmosphere when people are there. I would recommend this place to anyone. Great specials. :D

Wow, the reviews for Baselines is horrible. Here’s my opinion, especially since I didn’t mind it here:
I went in on a whim, because I was hungry and trying to find a store that my friend had recommended. When I walked in, I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to just sit or wait for someone to seat me (it’s a pub but I’m never quite sure what the etiquette is since it seems to change from place to place).
The woman behind the bar was really nice and just told me to have a seat wherever I wanted. It was fairly empty so I sat in a booth near the window, so I could have a little sun and a view of the people walking down the street. Oddly, there isn’t a menu at the tables but she brought me one very quickly.
The service was very good and I thought my food was fine. I had the Mexican potato skins and the steak sandwich. I like bar food and I wasn’t expecting 5 star, cordon bleu cooking. It was good, though my steak was a little over-​cooked for medium-​rare.
I think I may not have been their typical clientele because I received a couple of curious looks, not unfriendly at all, just curious, like I was an exotic animal they’d only heard of but not seen. I’m okay with that.
I’d come here again for lunch.

My god… BARF. This place is horrible. Hahaha I can only laugh about it. We attended for a fundraiser where tickets included a burger and beer. The burger was disgusting!!! The veggie burger too. Seriously… gross. It was a grease patty on the cheapest looking bun I’ve ever seen. The bun wasn’t heated. It was terrible. The food wasn’t hot period. The fries were like the burger, solid grease. Everyone’s plates looked like a sloppy mess. Honestly, like a child was in preparing them in the kitchen. The waitress was unbelievably rude. I asked what type of beer we got with our ticket. She responded, «it’s fine». I said, «Pardon me? I was wondering what kind it is?» She said, «it’s fine, you’ll like it.» WTF?!? She hardly visited our table throughout the night. At one point a guest at our table had to go up to the bar to order drinks because it had been at least 20 mins since our waitress had been seen. We were not the only table that experienced this. Another table of our friends were not brought some of their food at all. One vegetarian was brought a regular burger and never brough her veggie after asking. And their waitress flat out raised her voice at them when they asked for their food and drinks to be brought out. RIDICULOUS! The only positive is that it’s got a good layout. Very open. The bartender also seemed very nice. Service and food… just horrible.
