Today we went to Destination Maternity in Langley to buy few things before the baby comes. There were like 4 or 5 salespeople in the store, not even one willing to help, they were chatting by the dressing rooms, so we kept looking around going through the list of things I need and picking up the ones I like, then I needed some help choosing an item and I realized that all the sales«team» had disappeared. I wasn’t the only one looking for help, there was even a person waiting for the cashier and no one to assist, then I heard people chatting at the back, they were all in the backroom/storage area chatting. I just couldn’t believe it, for sure I was upset, but why should I waste my time and my money if they don’t even care?

There aren’t a lot of places to buy maternity clothes where I live and I usually make a cross border trip to pick up anything maternity related I may need. Since I was in Langley anyways, I thought I’d check this place out. As soon as I entered the store I was greeted and my husband and I were offered bottle juice or water, very good way to keep people in the store! This store has a nice selection of maternity clothes from different brands, Motherhood will always be my favourite, the price is more reasonable than it’s Pea in the Pod counterpart and the style fits me better. There is a nice play area for kids and an area with tables and chairs for men or anyone who doesn’t particularly enjoy shopping to sit. Sales people are really friendly and the woman who was helping me out gave me space to look at things on my own. At the till they really do pressure you to sign up to «Today’s Parent» magazine, I think these people are paid on commission… but I could be wrong.
