Not a bad place at all. Three ladies working the store including Doris herself. There are 9 chairs to this place. They have a variety of items in store for snacks and such. Their deli is quite good for selection of meats, salads and soups. I ordered a vip double meat sandwich. It’s not bad. The bread was a bit dry and cold but it was delicious. The Dijon mustard seemed to help it. Fair size. This is apparently a German deli so they have some fine looking schnitzels which I should have tried instead. I really oughta be more adventurous or thought quicker. I will say finally that the side potato salad was good too. I may be back if I’m in the area.

I go here to get bratwurst because it’s by far the best one(s) I’ve found in BC so far. Juicy and very flavourful with a casing that isn’t too tough(unlike at most places here). I’m also happy that they have Frankfurters and Milka chocolate.

Being a connoisseur of German deli food, I have to give Doris’ top marks. There is actually a Doris, and she and her Mom work behind the counter. Their meat salad(the measure by which I rate all German delis) is not the best. They do however carry an incredible selection of yummy things. Their pricing is reasonable and nothing has that«dusty imported 10 years ago» look to it. The schnitzel you can take home and reheat is a life saver and is so delish. At Christmas there is no better spot to load up on Euro-goodies for the festive season. They also have dutch licorice, german specialty chocolates, meats and cakes and the usual buns and magazines.
