the worst Management I’ve ever seen. Overzealous Management and not very friendly.

I had previously given this place 4 stars but now it gets a 3 at best. The last few times we have been here it has taken over twenty minutes for our waitress to see us despite the fact that it was not busy at all. I usually order breakfast because it’s cheap and hard to screw up but this time we decided to order the beef dip and the Mac and cheese(the latter was awful– undercooked noodles and not nearly enough cheese) but the beef dip was okay. If we go back here I’ll definitely stick to breakfast or desert.

Meh pub, meh food, and a jackass bouncer with a small man complex who got all«tough» in the men’s room over garbage not being placed in an overflowing garbage can. Too old for that, apologized and went about my night. Other bouncers were condescending jerks too. Makes no sense. Will take my business elsewhere.

meh. Terrible service here. Atmosphere is not too great either. Over rated for sure. Booked a stag table by the big screen weeks in advance. Called a few days ahead to check on the booking… and they somehow had no recollection of our group. Initially they claimed there wasn’t going to be any room for us at all(which is absurd), but I demanded they figure it out. We did not get to sit where we wanted to, and instead were stuck in the middle of the room at an uncomfortable raised table. Servers were oblivious to our reason for being there(shouldn’t some acknolwedgment be given to the fact that it is a stag?) They did give us a round of free shots for the inconvenience, but that wasn’t enough to redeem they experience. Not only will I not be going back, but I don’t expect anyone from our group will either… This company owns a number of ‘public houses’… scratching them all off my list.

Came here for brunch, on a busy Saturday. The service was really bad, it wasn’t our waitresses fault as we could see her running around to half the tables in the restaurant. The brunch prices are pretty cheap and they are decent meals. I had the veggie omelette with rye and the marbled rye bread was delicious! The omelette was okay, there was nothing in it really(gotta save money on a 6 $ omelette I guess) a smattering of mushroom and green pepper very rarely, but almost half an onion raw. I spent half my time picking out onions. I love onion but not a 80% raw onion omelette. $ 4 mimosas are great! I’ll try the townhall in my area in the hopes its better.

Horrible customer service. I would not recommend this place to anyone, there is always a line up outside in the evening even though inside is not full. The way the staff especially bouncers treat customers is disgusting. It is not worth waiting in line for… Your a public house not a downtown night club get it together.

I like the low-key vibe of this place; not everyone enjoys the high energy EDM vibe of most places these days. The food is mediocre, except the blackened chicken sandwich, which was unreal and the reason I gave this place a four-star review. This is a perfect place to listen to some tunes, hang out with friends, and eat an amazing sandwich with a great selection of beers. I’ll be coming here again.

Really like this place. Especially the breakfast, we’ve gone probably 4 – 6 times recently but then I looked up the reports on Fraser health which looked concerning. I’ll probably keep going for the breakfast and stay away from«risky» foods.

The food here is very poor quality. Even worse than what standard pub food is perceived to be. Your best bet is to order something greasy, that can not be ruined very easily. The atmosphere is very cold and dark… comparable to a cellar. I understand that they do get very busy on nights and the darkness most likely serves them well. The service is sub-par when it is slow, but when it gets busy it completely goes out the window, and you are waiting forever for food, Interac machine, bill etc. They do, however, have events on most weekday nights… trivia, bingo etc. which allows the establishment to become more community friendly. Something that I very much appreciate and the reason that I give them 2 stars.

This place has great food, great atmosphere, and fantastic prices too! Service is good(a little inconsistent though, likely depending on the time and who’s working), and the food is great. It serves a really cheap but hearty breakfast too over the weekends for those who have a hangover from the night before. ;-)

Cannot stand this place, been here on several occasions when I’m with my friends. everytime we are ready to give the bar our service but for some reason when I’m with my friends they are at «full capacity» it’s ridiculous I’ve only tried to go into this place because it’s a local bar but everytime they say it’s a 45 minute wait even though it’s empty and dozens on people are walking out what’s the point of living so close to a bar if they don’t let locals in?

Not awesome. Bar menu. It’s good for Langley. Loud and noisy with young drinkers late Friday nite.

I met family here for brunch a few Saturdays ago. Doors open at 10:00 and we were seated immediately. It’s dark inside on a sunny day, but hey– it’s a pub! Coffee was brought promptly(so important at breakfast!) and it was hot and tasty. The brunch menu is simple, but cheap. $ 4-$ 6 for a full, delicious meal with everything you could want. My one complaint is that all of our bread was barely toasted. I would call it hot bread. Toast should be crunchy! Will absolutely be back, but may try the South Surrey location next time as it is closer for us. Would be a great way to start a day on the way to White Rock beach:-)

Food is pretty good. I bit noisy… but hey… it’s a bar. Service good. Overall it’s a good, solid neighborhood bar.

Food was great! I had the quesadilla which was delicious! The service was horrible! Never anyone around and when asked for something felt like I was inconveniencing the waitress. Most of the staff I encountered wasn’t very friendly! Review would of been higher if staff was nicer!

Tried their deep fried pickles and beef dip, based on Unilocal reviews… was good but nothing spectacular. Presentation was great though. Tuna/quinoa salad was tasty, but the sauce became a bit overwhelming throughout the meal. Got lucky, our waitress was so friendly, but others weren’t at all… if you don’t want to/know how to give good service, you’re in the wrong line of work girl!

6 of us enjoyed lunch here recently and it was a pleasant experience with great service and good food! The only off comment concerned the beef dip which was good but not outstanding. the décor is OK being just a tad above normal pub standards. the Abbotsford location is exceptional for pub décor! The Townhall chain has a good menu with lots of choices at OK prices. We’ve eaten in 3 of the locations and the food is consistent so it’s not a gamble no matter which location you’re at. The wings and dry ribs are terrific but be sure and request«lightly salted»! The Townhall is high on our list of watering holes and we will be back … and back … and back!

My wife and I decided to try Townhall for appies and drinks last night. The atmosphere was very comfortable — a nice blend of modern and traditional pub décor. We were greeted within a minute of sitting down and the service was prompt and friendly throughout. I wanted to try a new beer but couldn’t decide from their long list of craft brews. Instead, I told the server some beers I usually enjoy and she recommended a few that are similar, and even brought me tasters of 3 of them to help me select one. Here’s were it gets interesting. We ordered the nachos with added ground beef, and the fire-dusted calamari. The calamari was fantastic — fresh, crispy outside, soft inside, perfectly seasoned, garnished with diced cucumber to balance the spice. The nachos were equally incredible — the best I’ve had in a long time. The ground beef was incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked. Plenty of cheese and fresh veggies on crispy tortillas. Then it happened. We saw a hair. We didn’t freak out. I worked in a nice restaurant for many years and I know from experience that even with best efforts, it can happen. It could even be floating through the air while the server walked the plate to our table. Who knows. Random yet plausible explanations notwithstanding, it’s unacceptable. We alerted the server. She was more horrified than we were. She took the plate immediately and had a delicious fresh plate on the table before we could even finish our calamari. Our server and the manager both apologized once more and we assured them we were satisfied with the swift replacement. We thoroughly enjoyed the remainder of our visit and when it came time to pay, our server advised us that they had comped the ENTIRECHEQUE! The Townhall team went above and beyond to ensure we had a good experience — and when one thing went wrong, they went kicked it up yet another notch, blowing my expectations away. I even had to talk her into processing a standalone credit card transaction so I could leave her a tip on a $ 0 cheque. We’ll definitely be back. Soon.
