One of the cleanest vv i have seen. But the prices have become too high. Cheaper to buy many of the items in a store on sale. Still a good place to go and waste 30 min. Huge selection. Most items in vg to euc.

Customer service was ridiculously rude. Bought a costume for a party about 2 weeks ago and no one acknowledged me at the till. Waited for 10 minutes!!! Started walking around the store and everyone said they would get a manager and 15 minutes later one showed up. All I wanted was to buy the costume. nothing major! The manager told me next time I should go elsewhere and pay a premium to get a costume if I have issues with their service. Wow… just wow…

I’ve sworn off Value Village countless times over the years. Over-priced generic crap from suburban wastelands sold to those who(usually) can’t afford much in life, let alone the non-value they will inevitably be getting from this store? No thanks. But similar to my relationship with cheese, I just can’t stay mad at it for long. So I’ve made a deal with myself: from now on it’s only high-quality dairy goodness(read: no Cracker Barrel); and Value Village is only to be visited in decidedly select locations. This particular establishment just so happens to have made the cut. As far as lame big-box thrift stores go, this one is pretty fantastic(relatively speaking, I mean it’s still a shitty thrift store). Organized, clean, decent selection, and genuinely friendly and animated staff mean that I don’t feel like I’ve been totally ripped off after I’ve left with yet another sequined top. A rarity in the infinite megathrift empire, the Langley location leaves me feeling like there just might be Value in this Village after all(cheese!).

This is my favorite Value Village in the Lower Mainland for the following reasons: 1. Low«yuck» factor 2. Lots of current styles and good brand names 3. Friendly employees 4. Good selection of athletic wear 5. Change rooms with sufficient hooks, that DON’T fall off the wall as soon as you use them 6. Above changerooms are clean and not full of someone else’s discards.
