Rude, rude, rude. Who the hell charges for vegetables on a sandwich? I’m in town for my cousin’s wedding and my mom wanted to try this place. We entered and the woman behind the counter gave us a cold, dead stare. We discussed our order in Arabic. I ordered in French, she answered in English. After paying for our meal only then does she decide to engage us in Arabic. Once she found out we were from California it went back to the death stare. Never again. I love Canada, but I loath this place.

I’ve come to Arouch many times over the years to get their delicious Lahmajoun pizzas and it is always a treat. They sell several varieties of their Armenian pizza but we always stick with their meat/garlic pizza as well their cheese pizza. If you’ve never had an Armenian pizza, you should truly make the attempt to. The lahmajoun is a paper thin pizza with toppings that is wildly different to the traditional Italian or North American style pizza. The experience is very nice and more importantly… cheap! The pizzas are always fresh, always tasty and are sold either in single units or in various packages. You can’t go wrong with this!

I really like this place. My wife and I went on our way out from Montréal and brought back a dozen meat pies to freeze. We had to hold ourselves back from ordering more since their flavors are so tempting and also available in halal meat which, to us, was a very pleasant and refreshing surprise. We also ate a Greek pie for lunch and found it to be delicious and filling even without any toppings. If you’d like to add any, make sure you try the pickled turnips. They balance the flavors very well. Each topping is an extra 50 cents but it’s well worth the charge. The price is very affordable, especially the meat pies which come down to around 14 dollars for a dozen. If you’re in a hurry, use their drive-through!
