the other douchey shopping mall very similar to Dix-30 but in Laval this time, just a bridge ride away from Montréal. getting here is a somewhat easier than Dix-30 as you have the metro that drops you off in the heart of Laval. after that, its simply a bus ride(or 2) away from Centropolis. its the exact same concept and feel as Dix-30 but way smaller in scale, doesn’t have as much parking spots and its in the middle of nowhere. expect to find the same thing down south but with a lot less retail stores. so if you’re looking to shop, you’re better off to Le Carrefour which is a walk away from Montmorency metro stop. a bit less douchey than Dix-30 but then, you go to Le Carrefour when in Laval

Let’s start off with what I feel about Centropolis. I’m pretty MEH about it. Don’t get me wrong, I certainly like the concept of Centropolis but the design of this place is atrocious. There are a lot of options for you to go shop at, to go eat at or even watch a movie in Laval’s biggest movie theater… but going there is certainly a pain. The parking, particularly at specific times of the week can be very annoying. There’s simply not enough of it. Driving around is a pain as well as the design of the streets forces you to swerve everywhere with no direct straight access points that make you randomly find yourself staring at the end of the parking lot because they decided to break the street off, forcing you to make several detours to get around it to end up where you wanted to be. Lastly, there are a lot of options to go eat at and that certainly can be pretty exciting but honestly the quality of the food that come from, mostly franchises, isn’t all that great.

Centrepolis is becoming what I would consider the go to destination for restaurants in Laval. The selection you have there is just outstanding! Featuring 26+ restaurants you really have so etching for everyone. Here is e current listing as of Jan 2015. Really like a food court assortment of excellent dining options: Elixor Houston Calvi Le Tire-Bouchon Bistro parisien Les 3 Brasseurs Kiyomi tapas coréennes Menchie’s Sterlings Sukho Thaï Le Balthazar Bières québécoises Mikasa Sushi Bar Tango Zibo Mozza Pizzeria Moderna Juliette & Chocolat Bleu La Belle et La Boeuf burger bar Boston Pizza Carlos & Pepe’s Souvlaki Bar Allô! Mon Coco Jack Astor’s Bar & Grill Moomba Théâtre Presse Café Académie(L’) What I find would make this place into an even more world class destination is if they could add amazing shopping and stores that people want to shop at. Sure there is an SAQ and wine goods store but I really can’t think of anything else memorable other than La Cordee(excellent outdoors store like a MEC or REI). Moomba a is a popular club for the younger crowd on the weekends(especially Saturday nights). Usually there is some deep bass pumping music. Most of the restaurants are what I’d consider on the more premium side. Not much for cheap eats here. Lunch will typically cost you in the $ 15 – 20 range and dinner is usually $ 20+ at any of the fine restaurants. Lots of choice and a great place with patios to hang outside when the weather is nice! Parking can be a bit of an issue if you come here later in the evening so be prepared to walk a bit. Otherwise it’s great place!

Simply a very happening place on Saturday night! Soooo many restaurants, bars and cafes, live DJ in the center of Centropolis really kicks off a great night!
