Just over a year ago, we moved into the building behind this restaurant. It was a Sunday. It was a LOOOOOOOOONG day of moving a household from Hamilton. We were STARVING and I knew there wasn’t much open in OEV on Sundays, so I suggested that I’d run over for a couple pizzas to take the edge off. BIG mistake. I was so hungry that I scarfed down two slices without even tasting them(burning roof of mouth in process, oops). But once I did manage to taste, it was cardboard city! :P Blech! Just nasty. I have no desire to return to this place.

Ever Fresh 2-for-1 is an average London 2-for-1 pizza place: it has pizza of average quality, tasty panzerottis, a friendly staff, and low prices. We ate in because we needed a quick bite before going to a show at the Palace Theater across the street. I highly recommend calling ahead and picking up your order: there’s only one table inside for seating, and when we went it was occupied by a homeless man who was stubbornly refusing to leave, even after the owners asked him to, noting that he had been there for a couple of hours. I grew up in the NYC metro area, where we have excellent pizza, and calzones(with ricotta cheese.) A panzerotti is like a calzone, but without the ricotta. You can take your pick of fillings, and one is enough to split, and won’t break the bank. In spite of my northern New Jersey upbringing, I’m not a pizza snob — I’ve been known to enjoy Domino’s/Pizza Hut/even a good frozen pizza in my time. I personally wouldn’t rush back to Ever Fresh for the pizza, but I would try a panzerotti again, and it’s decent cheap food in a pinch.
