Food is good. Staff is not thaaat good. It is located at a residential building with a lot of students. Parking is free which is a good thing. I was there today and since they do not have restrooms, you have to use the building’s restrooms which you have to ask for the keys since it is locked. I asked for the key and the answer from the waitress was: «oh, our key was stolen, if you need to go to the restroom you have to go to the depaneur and ask for their key« I am sorry? You own a restaurant and you dont even get a second copy of the key for your customers. Things like that are a huge turn off for customers. Very unprofessional.

I came into this place for 2 reasons. 1) It’s conveniently located next to my classes and 2) The Unilocaloween party the night prior caused me to be slightly hangover(great times!). We all know that the 2 best hangover cures are being under 25 and of course poutine! You can choose to order from their regular menu which offers hot dogs, burgers, sandwiches etc or you can create your own poutine by selecting which ingredients you’d like to incorporate in your plate. I went with the latter. I was a bit conservative meaning I didn’t go crazy trying to create an eclectic poutine, but nonetheless created my own(chicken poutine with 3 different cheeses). The end result was highly satisfying. Next time I will create something insane. Speaking of insane, they have a 15lbs poutine called the heart attack! !

This restaurant is a favorite of students from Oaxaca Mexico. Each time there is a school trip — past student remind the new kids going to Canada that they HAVE to try poutine! Again Poutineville’s hospitality and GREAT poutine won over a new group of 30 kids who had never had poutine before! Kosta and his staff developed a plan that allowed them to serve 65 people in record time! Even our bus drivers received take out poutine !!! Thanks again Poutineville for your winning combination of personalized service! The Mexicans will be back!

If you are not worried about your diet this is the best place you can be. Some people say it’s expensive, because you will probably end up paying 20 $ for a poutine but that 20 $ poutine is a meal for 2 people. It is seriously enormous, the only thing more impressive then it’s size is the taste. I have been 5 times, my favourite poutine is «pommes De terres ecrasser, with house sauce, curd cheese, creamy nacho cheese, onions, mushrooms and hot peppers.» It goes down well with a pitcher of st-amboise and fried mars bar for desert:)
