Stayed here for a couple of days while I was closing on a house purchase. Sebelle and Susan made me feel entirely welcome, sometimes unusual when you’re traveling alone. The location was central, the B&B was excellent, the rooms were large, comfortable, spotless, and had attached baths. Breakfasts were as ordered and very good. The common rooms were welcoming. I can’t say enough about the charm and helpfulness of the hosts. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to my most picky friends.

«Atlantic Sojurn» is one little jewel of a guesthouse. This Victorian home was recommended by our guide, who frequents Lunenburg. Having stayed in a number of B&B’s on both sides of the Atlantic; we were very impressed with this one. Run by two retired Ladies, Sebelle, a college professor; and Susan, a librarian, who truly«have thought of EVERYTHING», to the point of having a favorite Louisiana coffee imported for us. The redone Victorian home is absolutely spotless and beautifully furnished. Just a couple blocks to the harbour and/or «downtown» bars & restaurants, the location couldn’t be better. Sebelle is originally from Natchez, so cheesy grits and«pain perdu»(French toast) were on our breakfast menu, with maple syrup and various pure jams. As early season vacationers, we were alone as guests. Looks as though there are four or five perfectly equipped guest suites. The only caveat is as «Katie Y.» said, the shower in Lupin Suite is tight. A hand-held showerhead would be a big help. I sometimes carry one with wrenches, thread tape, & washers; but didn’t have one this trip. If in the area, don’t miss this great hostelry. The attention to details of guest comfort is almost unbelievable ! Rick

We stayed two nights at the Atlantic Sojourn, and we’re so happy we did, both because we loved Lunenburg, and because we loved the B&B. Your hosts will be absolutely sure you are outfitted with all of the information you need to make your adventures in Lunenburg and surrounding area one of the highlights of your trip. They offer an exhaustive supply of information, and are also very eager to be engaged in conversation if you have any questions. The B&B is conveniently located an easy walk from the center of town and the museum. There are various places to sit and relax on the facilities, including a balcony and a little garden with a pond. The room was gorgeous(we were in the Lupin room), spacious, with a comfortable bed. It’s at the front of the house, so you do hear the traffic during the day on the main road. However, there is very little traffic late at night, so it does not disrupt sleep. The shower is small, which was adequate for us, but if you are larger in size/stature, you may not enjoy your bathing experience as much. Breakfast is run on a tight ship. You sign up for a specific time that you want to eat, which wasn’t really my favorite part of the stay. Being on vacation, I like to enjoy waking up when my body tells me so rather than signing up for a specific time to adhere to. It also kind of minimizes breakfast social time with other guests… which for some people may be a positive thing! Finally, they offer Arbonne shower products for your use — lotions, shampoo and condition — which was much appreciated. After many nights on the road, it was a lovely treat to use high quality goods like these.
