This is a fantastic, reasonably priced sushi place. The specials are fun, usually quite good, and a bit quirky. The staff is friendly and helpful. HOWEVER, it can be insanely busy for dinner and weekends. Plan accordingly.

Regular customer here. Great service and good food. The décor and atmosphere are perfect for a nice sushi restaurant. Eat here once a week.

Came here from seeing the reviews while I was in town, the food just blew my away! The flavours are phenomenal, very fresh & the presentation is very artistic. They add a wonder arrangement of leafy greens onto the sashimi that had a variety of pleasant flavours & aroma. When I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by the sushi chefs & serves. It’s very clean & quiet busy. I would return & recommend this restaurant.

I’m a regular here and quite enjoy the food always. Staff is great and always busy– a good sign of tasty food. Prices are very reasonable as well.

The sushi is average, probably rate it a 3, but the delivery time was a joke. I was quoted up to 90 mins which in itself it a little crazy, but when it takes 2−½ hrs to arrive its the last time I will order from Shinobi.

Came in right at opening. The place is clean and a little loud. The place is decorated nicely with Japanese décor. The tables are spaced nicely. I ordered the appetizer tempura and seafood salad. Both were good in quality. The dressing for the seafood salad was a mild mustard dressing which complimented the seafood nicely. The tempura seemed a bit heavy with the batter. Here’s my issue with this place. The service could’ve been better. I did have to ask for water and tea after waiting a bit to see if the server would check on me to see if everything is ok. Nope never happened. Mind you it got busy fast but I think this was quite typical. However, I did notice that the server did pay attention to others more so than usual. The food is good and I can see why people gave this place 5 stars. It isn’t the best place for Japanese food I’ve been to but you’re in Maple Ridge and I guess they are hard to come by here. I may come back to give them another shot.

Overpriced sushi. There was dried out rice the last time I ate here with uninspired rolls. Try Umibe instead.

This restaurant serves the best sushi in all of Maple Ridge. The staff remembers customers and is very welcoming. The prices are quite reasonable especially considering the taste of the food.

This restaurant is a 5 minute walk from work and a great place for sushi in Maple Ridge. I can only speak to their take-out service as I haven’t dined in, but my experiences so far have been positive. They have an extensive menu and reasonable prices. Before I started working in the area I never had any reason to venture out to Maple Ridge, let alone eat there, but I’m happy to know good sushi exists in Maple Ridge! My favourite roll is the Golden Bridge roll($ 7.95), which is a chopped scallop and cucumber roll topped with tempura eel and tobiko on top. Yummm! They have a good selection of specialty rolls along with the traditional Japanese fare(noodles, combos, tempura, salads, appetizers) The restaurant is pretty busy at lunch time so if you are ordering take out, give yourself 25 – 30 minutes for pick up.

I’ve done takeout here 3 times and it was average, nothing ground breaking. I prefer Sushiro a few blocks away. Also when they say pickup will be ready in 30, they mean 40, all 3 times.

They have the best seafood salad I’ve had! They definitely don’t cheap out on the seafood and their salad dressing is different and delicious! I always order the seafood salad as well as the maple ridge roll when I’m there.

This place was great. Service was fast and delivery even with a packed house was quick. The Veggie spring rolls and Veggie sunomono were Delish. The veg combo plate was a great variety of avacado, cucumber and a fancier roll with lettus, avacado, pickled asparagus and a white root veg. My only complaint is the veg teriyaki, was tofu on bamboo shoots with one peice of Broccolli and one carrot. And I the rest room area what every they cleaned the floors with left an extremely slippery film and even kn sneakers I had to focus on not falling down. But the menu had a large amount of options, lots of family style boat options, the place was clean and prices great. We would return.

Hot chocolate Jesus! Top marks for presentation and perspicacity. The homies straight pumping these tires over hometown favorites such as sushiyama. Belee dat. Value, service, and fishy fishy num nums; Shinobi has it all. Run, don’t walk to Shinobi and inhale some hot night roll like a seagull at a food cart festival. Run tell dat.

Love this place! The food is always fantastic. I love the tempura roll, and the agedashi tofu is the best I’ve ever had. The sashimi is always so fresh. We get great service and the staff is friendly and welcoming. It can be pretty busy at peak times, so going for an early lunch or dinner is recommended. Definitely the best sushi in Maple Ridge.

By far a favourite place to dine out! We often do take out from Shinobi and love it. Their rolls are made with fresh ingredients and its easy to tell with each bite. The staff moves at a busy pace. The owners are super friendly to everyone!

Fantastic, fresh and easily the best sushi in town! Highly recommend the Maple Ridge roll and the spicy tuna roll. The service is friendly but the place is usually so busy and noisy we often opt for take out(with the 10% discount!). I’ve eaten in before, but this place tends to be our ‘go to’ when we’re wanting something quick and fresh to bring home for a quiet Friday night dinner. Definitely a favorite!

Shinobi is quite a surprise! A decent sushi restaurant in Maple Ridge? As soon as you enter the restaurant, you are greeted with a nice welcome, «irasshaimase» from all the staff. It has a nice ambiance with some traditional Japanese decorations. They serve up some good lunch combo plates. It’s very well presented and perfected proportioned. The nigiri sushi and sashimi are very fresh. They have some creative sushi rolls including the Maple Ridge roll made with prawn tempura, cream chesse, avacodo, cucumber and topped with crab meat and tobiko. Service is usually very friendly, they always say thank you as you leave. Pick up orders get 10% off if you order over $ 20 except special and combo menus.
