Vienny Nails

Had a gift certificate for this place so decided to go this morning with my mum. First impression was not good. I booked on the phone a few days ago to make sure we could get in as I’ve seen it busy. The lady on the phone was quite abrupt and I felt like she couldn’t understand me. No name was taken on the phone either. She said to come for 9.30. We arrived on time and the salon was closed. Bad impression number two. After waiting outside for nearly 10 minutes, they all arrived. No apologies, nothing. We both had shellac done and to be fair, they did a nice job. But, the «relaxing» hand massage afterwards was so rough and painful, and the lotion smelled chemically. The nail tech never spoke a word to me, and I tried to communicate to her that I wanted a pedicure done too, but she clearly did not speak a word of English. Instead, the owner told me to go back another day for it. So strange. This was probably the worst customer service I have experienced in my life. The salon was quite dirty too. Will not be returning.

I would have given more stars if the service had been remotely acceptable. I gave this place 2 tries, hoping my first experience was an anomaly. First time I went there was one other customer there, 2 of the girls were chatting at the back ignoring us both. When they finally deigned to look over and seat us at a station they stopped about 4 times in the first 2 minutes chatting to each other. Yes seriously they kept stopping, to the point where the other customer had to say «girls please catch up later». Then my nail tech started to work on my nails again until their phone rang 5 seconds later, she stopped, got up, and answered it. I wouldn’t have had an issue except there was another person there that was not with a customer, she could easily have answered the phone since she was free. I actually had to ask my nail tech to let the unoccupied person answered the phone instead of leaving me every 5 mins. Not a good impression but the other customer remarked that she usually had decent service. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt so I tried again. The second time, I was perplexed when the nail tech finished my nails with Nail Envy… This is the first time I have ever had that happen when I’ve had a gel refill and my nails didn’t go under the curing light. I asked about it, couldn’t ask him because he walked away after putting a fan on the desk… The fan wasn’t even on and he walked away and didn’t bother to check on me. The nail tech that was working on the lady beside me had to turn it on … I asked about why I was under a fan and not under a light, the two had a conversation in Vietnamese and they started laughing and looking at me. The other girl started to put a gel top coat on my nails and put my hands under the uv light all the while giggling away… So they were laughing in my face and thought it would be ok. No apologies or anything. Yes I really want spend $$ at a place that thinks it’s ok to ridicule a customer in Vietnamese or even give that impression. A real shame, I was hoping to make this place my regular nail place because I did like the end result but the search continues. I will never go there again.

Worst Salon I ever went to. The owner was rude and belligerent. When we discussed how I wanted my nails done… barely shortened, I started reading a book. When I looked down he had completely changed the rounded shape and made them super short. He said, «it’s your fault for reading a book»…REALLY!!! They made no attempt to find a solution or re-​do the job… instead charging me full price.

Nick or Van are expert technicians and both have given me excellent service for many years. I also get regular pedicures and have had no complaints. The salon is busy so I would recommend reservations.

The nail techs are so nice at this salon and they do a very thorough job. I went in for a pedicure over the weekend and it was very busy, but Tammy managed to slot me in anyways. The service is prompt, my toes look great, and I would definitely come back.
