Salon Verve

I have always had the best experience with Salon Verve. I have been going for many years and even though I moved across the city I still think the long drive is worth it. Kate does my highlights/​cut and I am always a very happy customer.

I really wanted to like this place…
I went for a cut & colour. I wanted ombré, and wanted it to frame my face. especially the bangs. Despite showing the reference pictures, my hair did not turn out the way i wanted. The ombré was barely visible, and unfortunately I felt like it was a waste of money. Next up was my haircut. I wanted to have a layered cut, and the stylist tried to persuade me to only get a trim — not impressed.

I had such an amazing time here! The energy is high and positive. This is not a stuffy salon where no one talks to each other. The stylists are really though.
I had Kate as my stylist and she did exactly what I asked. I went from a plain-​Jane layered cut that was a medium length to a short asymmetrical bob with colour. It’s amazing! I could not be happier with the job that was done, and this is coming from someone who is extremely picky when it comes to getting her hair done!

I love this salon. I have been going for years (since I moved into the area).
When I moved to Maple I asked around and was told this is the best salon in the area and I agree.
My stylist is Lisa. She cuts my hair exactly the way I want. I do highlights a few times a year and they always turn out great.
This salon is the most punctual. You go in and your appt. time is the time you get your service.
Previous to Salon Verve I was going to Gaboa for years, and I always had to wait so long even though I had a scheduled time booked, they still kept me waiting and was half a day ordeal. Not with Salon Verve, they are right on schedule with the appts.
Lisa is a bit hard to see if you want an evening appt. So I just make sure before I leave I schedule my next appt. in advance.
They are very organized and always call to remind of an upcoming appt. a few days before.
I now take my son there for haircuts, they do a way better job for less money then melon heads for kids.

Angie at Salon Verve did my hair and she was always OK. Nice polite always took my coat and made me feel welcome. But she is on mat leave now and I tried other hairdressers in Salon Verve. Kate gave me the worst tiger stripe highlights I have ever had I was too traumatized to go back to her to fix it and decided too see Lenny Ferri the owner who advertises himself as master stylist .Girl (Shannon I think) on the phone told me that they are happy I’m giving them a chance o fix the problem and that they have a lot of people never coming back. I really wanted to hang on until Angie comes back and it’s close to home too. He did not do much to fix and told me I had to wait when my hair grows out and do it again. And was left with wet hair and it is a middle of winter ! Just dry a little bit on the side he told another guy he left me to comb my hair without giving me any options. Rough dry they call it. Never seen this anywhere else. Went back to Lenny for a haircut today Big mistake. Master stylist? Really?? He did not do anything special. Maybe he was good at one point along time ago I don’t know. I told him I want more volume in my hair now because I have gained weight to size 6 and long and straight hair does not work for me as it did when I was a 2. He asked how tong I have been married and said all women get comfortable fat and miserable two years into relationship! WOw! He should stick to small talks about the weather. I think I look great and just want more volume in my hair !! I regret now that I stayed for this haircut I should have waked out. As he started to blow dry he wrapped my hair on a round brush and left it hanging on my cheek while picking another strand. The brush was heavy and sharp bristles dug into my skin. I asked him not to do that. And he said he can not do my hair good if I ‘m giving him restrictions!! The guy is an egocentric bully! Beware! It seemed like he was forgetting that there is a live person in his chair and a paying client! Another thing he spoke to another hairdresser and rested his hand on the back of the chair pulling the bib that was on me and it choked me around the neck and I had to pull it back with my fingers to catch a breath ! Avoid this guy at all cost!
I don’t like the haircut and going to get it redone elsewhere.
I paid and tipped which I always do but I will never come back to this place!
