Lucy Literna Photography

It was a pleasure working with Lucy on our baby girl’s newborn photoshoot. We brought our 9 days old baby girl into her studio and participated in a few shots with her as well. Lucy turns on the heat to keep the studio warm for baby so it may get a bit warm for parents who stay for the whole session. We really enjoyed the whole photography session of her photographing our daughter.
While her sessions are affordable at $ 250 but her photos can go on the pricy range depending on what you choose. We ended up choosing the $ 1100 that was the best package for its value of what is included especially if you want full high resolution images instead choosing the a la carte that may be slightly cheaper but you don’t get as much.
What I wished that I had done differently in retrospect knowing that we purchased the full package was to have more shot in different wraps, props and outfits.

I had portraits taken of my three year old twins. Lucy did an excellent job of getting each child to pose — not an easy task. I changed outfits on each child too. The photos turned out wonderful and we are very happy with the all the products we bought. The prints are absolutely lovely and will be a treasured family momento.

I surprised my wife with a maternity photo shoot for her birthday gift since she was around 8 months pregnant at the time of her birthday. She had looked through Lucy’s website months before and told me she really liked her photography style and the work she had already done, so I called/​emailed and set up an appointment.
The day we went for the photoshoot, it was at around 11:30 and the sun was out. The studio was bright and spacious and there was tons of natural light coming through the large front window. Lucy first took the time to get to know us, see what our vision was, and show us examples of different styles for the maternity shoot. My wife said she had a lot of fun at the photoshoot, changing into different outfits and taking pictures against several backdrops.
About a week later, Lucy called to have us come in and look at the pictures she took. Her edits and the vision really matched what we were expecting. Another week later, we picked up the Portfolio Box and the print we ordered and I was pleasantly surprised. Very good quality and very nice finishes. I would definitely recommend Lucy to anyone, whether it is for portraits or even family shoots. Again, I would definitely support small businesses vs. Sears or the Bay studios. Thank you!

I came across Lucy’s website whilst searching for a photographer who could take on one of my co-​op students. She took in my student with open arms and was an excellent mentor by showing my students the ropes of the photography industry in Toronto. Being a photographer includes the editing of photos, marketing, keeping up with the latest trends and much more !
Lucy has a beautiful studio on Wallace Avenue — with large windows and sun shining in, it’s a great location to have your photos taken. I was able to get some head shots taken by both my student and Lucy — she is a very talented photographer (just look at her on-​line portfolio and she works with babies !!) who knows how to make subjects feel comfortable to really enjoy their photo shoot session.
