NCIX Markham

Went here to pick up an android based Kodi player. The experience this time with Sidney is significantly better than what I had on my last trip. In fact it’s the type of level that I expect from this particular branch of NCIX as it is a showroom and not just a simple warehouse. Though their warehouse isn’t too shabby either.
I am extremely pleased that they had indicated I purchased the second best product for the line. They had another one higher that can run Windows but I don’t really need it for Kodi.
The best part about this NCIX is their closing time is longer which gives me ample time from work. Warehouse unfortunate isn’t as adequate which closed at 6pm.
I will be going to the warehouse in a few days to pick up the second half of my order. It’s not a big deal as warehouse is actually closer to my place and I can see more open box stuff to tempt me.

The first time I came here my experience was definitely 2-​star. However, the second time I was here my experience was 4-​star. Average it out, I get 3 stars.
I don’t think too much of NCIX; I always thought NCIX is a high quality electronics store but at higher prices compared to, say, Tiger Direct. I couldn’t have been more wrong; not only is the quality top notch, but the prices were actually quite reasonable!
With that aside, the first time I visited here I was looking for a microSD card. Unfortunately the cards are over the counter, so I had to ask an employee to get it for me. For some reason there were zero employees behind the counter aside from the repairs counter for a good 10 minutes. There’s also no notification that you would get service if you ask an employee by any of the cashier booths… like, come on.
The second time I had a completely different experience. I was treated by a female employee who quickly asked me if I needed assistance, and I said yes as I was looking for an external hard drive. She took 3 – 4 minutes to explain the different hard drives, sizes, brands, etc… until I finally interrupted her and told her I only wanted a specific size with a certain price range. She quickly went in the warehouse and found one that fits my budget perfectly. I was in and out in a span of 5 minutes, and it would’ve been lesser time if she didn’t go above and beyond in explaining everything about the hard drives.
Since my visits here have been relatively bipolar, I’m leaving it at 3 stars. If things change for the better (or worse), I’ll update this review accordingly.

I love NCIX. I’m not a frequent customer, but I do like their store pick up option when you purchase online! It’s so convenient since I work so close to First Markham Place. I also love the price matching here. Although back when they first started, it was price match + beat it by 10%.

This place and Canada Computers are the only places to buy computer parts… they’re usually even cheaper than online! NCIX has a bit more products and lower price than CC, but both are good options. They even have a Facebook with weekly giveaways! Since most top brand keyboard part companies don’t have physical stores, this place is perfect for testing before you buy. They also have efficient pick-​ups or shipments if you buy online (recommended, there’s a lot more stock in their warehouse than instore).

Not bad, but their website is a nightmare to navigate, too busy. Its hard to find shipping info, and sometimes shipping via the website is quite expensive. No downtown location

I bought a BenQ gaming monitor as a Holiday gift for my son. 6 hours after I purchased the monitor it went on sale for $ 100 off. I politely asked for a credit or a return on 6 occasions. They receptively told me I was out of luck and refused to provide a credit or a RMA. Customer service is not customer focused or interested in future business. I will not go back and I plan to tell as many people as I can. A terrible place to consider buying from!

NCIX is one of the best, if not the best, place for computer and other electronic deals. Just compare the selection and prices to other competitors.
This location in particular started off with a small collection of items available for sale in-​store but now has expanded quite a bit. The staff are informative and friendly.
I have never had any problems with ordering from them. Saving money is easy because you have the option to pick up your items in person rather than having them shipped to you. Their notifications via email saying your order is ready to be picked up gives you lots of flexibility and convenience. Their website isn’t the prettiest but it’s well categorized and the search features allow you to find what you need quickly.
The thing that makes NCIX different from other competitors is the LinusTechTips and NCIXcom Youtube channels. Over the years, they have made tons of unboxings, first impressions, reviews, guides and many more types of videos so you are more informed about your purchases. You can also find out about products you’ve never even heard of before. I think that the videos really helped the company grow into what it has become today. Props to whoever came up with the idea.

Love this place! Used to go to tigerdirect or canada computers or factory direct but this place is what those places used to be like. Staff is very friendly and if you are friendly back, they will knock down the price a few bucks more just because they like you.
If they don’t have the item at this store, their warehouse is only a few blocks away.

I ordered «PS3 EyePet» for $ 9.99 plus taxes ($ 11.29 total) for one of their Deal of The Day promotions on March 23. The payment went thru on March 26. Purchasing the game on the web site was not possible since it was a Daily Deal, so I had to phone in and place the order. I spoke to a man who took my VISA information as well as my e-​mail and phone number. He told me it would take some time for the game to come in from BC. I stopped into the store nearly two weeks later and the game had not come in yet, but the man at the desk told me he remembered that he was the one who took my order by phone, and that the game would be in next week. I received no order number by e-​mail, so he looked it up and found my order by phone number.
I stopped in again a few days ago to pick up the game, the same man was working there but was busy, so I went to another employee. He could not find my order associated with my phone number, though it did show my name. No info under my e-​mail either. I see on my VISA bill that NCIX did charge me for the game, but I can’t get it. I would now like for these charges to be reversed, I no longer want to purchase the game. Too much hassle and confusion.

NCIX is the largest computer parts retailer in Canada. First started in BC, then recently moved to Ontario, with its first retail location right here in Markham.
Been a loyal customer of NCIX since the days of being a contributing member of Redflagdeals forums. Was a huge computer geek back in the days, building computers for friends and family. Before NCIX, my usual places for computer parts would be purchased from Canada Computers, PC Village, Infonec, CTY, etc. Often I would import from outside of Canada just because none of the Canadian stores carry the latest and greatest computer parts that I wanted for my perfect set up.
NCIX has a large selection of sale items weekly, and the website checkout features the price matching option which allows you to match the competitor’s price if they are offering the exact same item at a lower price (even if the competitor is in another city and charges shipping!) I’m surprised the other small guys are still around given the competitive prices and huge selection at NCIX.
Overall, NCIX is highly recommended for all your computer needs. Why shop at Future Shop/​Best Buy for inferior, overpriced, no name parts when you can get everything you need at NCIX.
