It can be kind of overwhelming to walk into a store with all these shoes that are designed for different conditions: trail running, midfoot running, sprinting, mid distance, long distance, cross country… and more.
The nice thing is the friendly staff can help you narrow down according to your need and budget. And you can even try a few pairs and trying jogging and running around a bit to find the perfect one that fit you.
If you are eyeing something that never ever go on sale, I suggest you wait till their 20% off Customer Appreciation sale which give you 20% off all regular priced merchandise. I like to pick up my Klean Kanteen and accessories here.
Check out what they have online for price comparison and then you can always pick up your order in store. But I definitely prefer to go in and try out the shoes and clothing before I buy!

I was very disappointed with my experience here. I bought a pair of shoes, and when they began to fall apart well before the end of the warranty period was up, I brought them back to be replaced. I was told that Running Free would not warranty them, and I had to contact the company myself. After contacting the company, I was told that Running Free, in fact, did have to replace them. After returning to Running Free, I was once again (quite rudely, may I add) told that it was not Running Free’s responsibility to warranty the shoes, even with a printed copy of the conversation with the original company where they clearly stated it was their responsibility. To top it all off, I have been living halfway across the country during this experience, so my two trips into Running Free literally needed a plane to get there. In the end it was such a process that the warranty period had expired. I therefore never got to replace my shoes, which I had originally brought back a FULL YEAR before the warranty period ended (the warranty was for 2 years).
Would not shop here again. Would not recommend to friends. The owner is rude and doesn’t honour her word. If she won’t live up to her responsibilities to the companies whose products she sells, she should not be able to carry those products. If I could have given it zero stars I would have.
