I hate getting a haircut with Asian people, I personally get my haircut by Italians and Middle Eastern’s but this one man is an exception. His name is Po-Wah and he not only knows how to cut asian style hair but also traditional western style as well. This dude is the only Hairstylist without a fob accent and he can cut, men, women, long, short just about everything I definitely recommend him and I will be coming back

On Thanksgiving Sunday afternoon I decided to randomly walk around the Pacific Mall to select a salon. Based on price for Women’s hair cut and wash and volume of customers waiting. I was taking a big risk since I was tight on time that day. As I was attempting to find a stylist to style my hair with curls for the wedding later that day. After walking around up and down the mall for 20−30mins I decided to walk up to the front desk to ask for the price for hair cut. The lady who was standing near the desk looked at me when I was asking in English then turned the young guy sitting at reception desk. He answered $ 35 and I asked to get my hair cut now. Then he asked me what kind of stylist I wanted. Not sure if this place ranges for level of experience with prices. I just said«Junior stylist» and I wanted to keep it safe within my budget. Not sure how this place works especially with my impression from the employees at first. I was then asked to follow him as he escorted me to hang up my coat. I was given the plastic hair cut gown. Then told to walk over to one of the chairs. I sat down and the stylist walked over to discuss the job expectations. He asks to speak in Chinese but I rather use English. He brings out the giant mirror to tell me what he suggests and asks how much to be trimmed. I needed 1 inch cut off and styled with curls. After we discussed the details I was asked to get my hair washed by the young lady. I got a nice head massage :) I am satisfied with my layer thinned out hair cut style and the classy curls styled at the end. I would come back again next time but they had a crowd line up so it must be good.

Been going here for the past little while for hair dye, hair treatments and trims. Powah, one of the hair stylist, is great every time. Lots of great recommendations :)! I always leave happy. Lots of choices to choose from. It does get busy so book ahead. Multiple assistants may work on your hair at the same time according to the time needed for each customer at different intervals. All seem to know what they are doing also! Hair treatments are also very nice with plenty of choice. They don’t try to oversell you too, which is nice. I always love my hair color in the end. Also. The hair dye never smelled or irritated my scalp. Doesn’t feel like it damages my hair too bad. Which is a lot to say since my hair is already VERYDRY. Will be coming back soon for a trim and hairdye again.

So I’ve been here once before and it was ok. I really dislike getting my hair cut but Wayne wasn’t bad last time so I decided to give it another go. I called at 1pm to make an appointment. I asked for 2pm and I was told that 1:30pm would be better. Ok so I hop out right away. I got there right on time and was given a hair cutting gown and seated on a chair. Wayne approached and told me that it would be a 20 minute wait. I said«sure, no problem» and gave him 30 mins in my mind. 40 minutes later I was escorted to the hair washing sink and had the best head massage ever! I was seated back at the chair and then again waited for the hairdresser. Wayne came and cut the the hair of the male sitting next to me. I figured I would be next. Once he was done cutting that man’s here he moved onto another male. At this point it was 3pm! I was sitting in the chair with wet hair for nearly an hour! I got up and told the receptionist I had to leave. She told me to hang on while she went to get Wayne. Wayne approached and said he would be 2 minutes. I told him I had to go and out of courtesy asked how much it was for the wash. Well Wayne told the receptionist to charge me $ 10! WTF?! I paid hoping it would go to the gentleman who washed my hair. But man, I thought that was pretty rude. I called to make an appointment. I waited an hour and half AND I had to pay! Needless to say I will not be returning.
