The Barber Shop

Living in Unionville for most of my life, I came here for the first time for haircut. Asked for a pompadour, however the lady who cut my hair didnt know what it is, had to show her pictures. Haircut turned out okay but will stick to my other barber instead.

Very nice & conveniently located place with very friendly people working there. Have seen Amir 4 times and he is great! Initially explained & showed him some photos on how I like my hair and he was bang on every time.
A wash, awesome cut & style for $ 25 + tip… you can’t go wrong. Highly recommend Amir!

Would have made this a 4 star, but todays experience turned me a little off. My boyfriend and i live about 30 – 45 mins away from markville mall. We only come back for Aziz. He is well experienced in fading hair. My boyfriend only trusts his skills. This morning however we had an appointment right at 11(when they open) not sure if the woman is the owner or runs the place, but she was very unwelcoming compared to the red head receptionist who is usually there. The woman saw us standing there but walks away. She only came close to us to answer the phone, but even then we weren’t acknowledged. Still, she went back and forth with the call, looks at us and runs her hands through her hair and continues to ignore us.11:08 Aziz shows up and welcomes us and shows my boyfriend to his chair. Im sad that the red head receptionist isnt there, shes always so pleasant and welcoming. If it werent for Aziz and the receptionist, i wouldve rated this a 1 star: /​seems everyone is welcoming but her. If she does run the business, she needs better training in hospitality.

I am visiting Toronto for a few weeks and my long hair was starting to bother me in the summer heat so I decided to take the chance and try a barber abroad.
Overall, it was great! My only complaint was that I got a blocked nape instead of a tapered nape, but it was partially my fault for not asking, I’m just used to every barber opting for a tapered nape. I’ve read that blocked napes are supposed to make your neck look thicker, so Dominic (the barber) must have thought I had a chicken neck (joking)! Besides that, Dominic took off so much weight and my cut looked exactly as I wanted it and he worked with my hair the way it was. I also came on a Monday and it was convenient that it was open at that time when most barber shops are closed or have limited hours.
For $ 30($ 5 tip) it was worth it, might shop around next time though but I would not hesitate to come back here again if I had to.

Had a really great haircut here! I usually wait to go to NYC and get it cut, but with the weather I haven’t had a chance
The barbers here know what they are doing! I got a really nice fade and a razor cut (I have longer hair)
I was really impressed with the style and how fast my hairdresser was. Only thing I didn’t like was that my hairline on my forehead was shaved to give it a «straight» edge look, but it’s grown out now.
