While I can appreciate a shelter making sure their animals are homed in a place that is best suited for them, this shelter will more than likely do nothing but waste your time. We reached out to Arbed recently about adopting an animal in need. The ad cleverly played on our heart strings, saying that the animal was«running out of time», essentially implying that she was going to be put down. So we acted quickly and contacted them to show our interest. I now come to find out they have a strict«no kill» policy… so what is the URGENCY about??? Who knows. Probably just a pity trip. These people will not even talk to you unless you fill out a 4 page application. Even after doing so and complying, no communication was given to us. Not even the slightest bit of consideration. My wife finally emailed them asking if we even had a chance at adoption. They wrote back saying the animal had a «pending adoption». Right. Thanks for letting us know that! Adopting an animal is a BIGDEAL for us. We would have appreciated some correspondence and a little respect. I sincerely hope that the people who work at Arbed have better animal skills than they do people skills.
