Of all the wonton soup I have had in my 32 years, I’ve gotta say, this was surprisingly the best. I was not expecting it to be so damned good! My bean sprouts came with a lime– that’s a thumbs-up right there because it drives me mad when that little detail is skipped. I had a little pot of tea all to myself. The soup had that… Spice to it– what is it? Nutmeg? Whatever it is, it was there and it was so good. I made the mistake of snapping open a chilli pepper that came with the bean sprouts and threw it in my broth. Whew! Had to take it outta there and squeeze in a bit more lime. Generous amount of wontons– definitely another thumbs-up! It was just absolutely wonderful, and I gobbled up the whole thing and felt wonderful afterwards. And it was 8 $. Cheaper than a gross fast food meal that leaves you moaning in fetal position. Ill be back phở sure. Xo Oh! Staff was efficient and friendly. Bathroom was very clean. Dining area was very clean.

They certainly operate at their own pace and demeanour. You order food, you get food; period — no extra points for personality or ambience. Seafood has been hit and miss on the soup so I ordered extra this time; came with 2 shrimp and they wanted to charge extra! Took an extra 20 minutes to get them to remove the extra charge. Last time I think I will go here. Too bad, used to be so much better.

This place is a delightful treat! I am from out of town and I have eaten at many phở restaurants around the world. This one is by far the most authentic I’ve had. The lady in the front was a real peach! Service was quick. FOODWASDELICIOUS! Clean environment. I am a new resident to Canada and I found my regular phở spot.

The food is okay. The service is pretty poor. They don’t know their own menu very well. My friend ordered a noodle dish and it came with rice and the server was quite sure we were mistaken but then faltered when I could recall the number of the item. She looked it up and we were right. They did bring it back almost immediately so I suspect it was just scrapping the topping off and plunking it on top of noodles… The one in the north on Centre St is better I think. The server was friendly. The restaurant was relatively empty on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant is in a mall and the parking lot was relatively busy but we managed to find parking fairly easily.

On a quick business trip, I stopped by this location to have some Phở. The restaurant is clean and the restrooms were well maintained. The soup was delicious and you got a lot of food for your money. This is a busy restaurant and if you go during peak times, then it might take a little longer to get your food. I think the service here is how you get service at all traditional phở places ie: you write down your order on a sheet of paper and they come and pick it up when you are finished. There is a quick«help yourself» station at the front that has water and utensils so if you are like me and need to be in and out, you can quickly grab what you need instead of waiting for the server(if they are busy). If you like medium spicy soup I suggest getting the Peanut Style Phở Sate(recommended from the server).

I don’t know about this place. I have been here twice now, and both times nothing really«stood out». The staff I’ve encountered have all been quite surly, so don’t be surprised if they roll their eyes at you when you ask for something besides tea. Though I will say they are efficient and are fast to bring you tea and menus, as well as take your order sheet. The food came out fast(like 5 minutes after ordering fast). My phở had a very strange smell to it, almost like remnants of dish soap. The beef in it was also not rare as advertised. It was very tough and grey, which made me think that it had been microwaved. My brother got the Curry Shrimp on Rice. The shrimp were the tiniest shrimp I’ve ever seen in my life. Like the size of a fingernail small. They charge $ 12 for basically a bunch of rice and 6 tiny shrimp. Not impressed to say the least! I will say the place is clean and the older lady who is the cashier is very nice. But I just don’t know if that is enough to bring me back here. Maybe I will give it one more chance, but for now I’m undecided.

It was my first time eat in a restaurant without leaving any tips. Bad service and I will never go back again. They forgot my order and keep me waiting for a half hour. Just a simple noodle soup. What a time wasting and money wasting place.

If you’re hungry go to Phở So 1, phở sure! I went there for lunch today and it was super busy! Like I’m talking the bus boys and bus girls were sweating from clearing the tables. And all the tables were occupied with a steady cycle of people entering and leaving. Let’s start off with food! I chose to get 2 veggie options: the spring rolls and veggie soup. Both were really yummy. The spring rolls were flaky and tasty but just a lil tiny, like a wee bit, greasy. The soup was ONFLEEK!(I’ve been waiting to say that about something for awhile– and I won’t use it again. Lol) But actually, I’m slowly converting to a pescatarian diet and I normally would get wor won ton soup so this was my first veggie soup and it was hearty and very filling. I have never finished my phở at any restaurant and it was the same here. The portion are really large and the prices are really reasonable. Where Phở So 1 went wrong was on my bubble tea. My taro bubble tea was crunchy and I feel like it would have been perfect if it was in the blender for 20 more seconds! I’m going to blame it on how busy it was. Another thing that was a bit strange was the method of delivering food and clearing the tables. The phở so 1 staff used rolling carts. It was an atmosphere buzzkill. If you subtract that, the restaurant is quite nice and has cute booths and tables for two. I would go again because the service is fast, the staff is extremely friendly and the food is yummy– I completely understand why so many people dined at Phở So 1 now.

I did return. We started with the fried chicken wings which was so good. I ordered the clear vegetable noodle soup. Also excellent. Very happy with the repeat visit!

As soon as we arrived someone brought us green tea which was very nice. The soup was really good and the place was clean. On the downside the service wasn’t that good. We were never given any water they forgot our drink orders and never came by after bringing our food to check on us, so we just never got our smoothies. They weren’t even busy when we were there so the really was no excuse for the lack of service. So we left disappointed.

Never been disappointed here. I flip flop back and forth between the phở(soup) and vermicelli noodle dishes. The phở is offered in 3 sizes to suit your hunger appetite, not always offered at other Vietnamese restaurants. The service is always fast and never a problem finding a seat.

This place is really hit and miss. Unfortunately I have had enough misses that I will not be eating here any longer. The last time I ate here and had a vermicelli bowl I found that the chicken in my dinner had the texture and taste of being over microwaved. I guess the red flag would have been my dinner arriving about 2 minutes after I had ordered. Obviously if you come here out of the lunch/dinner rush hours they reheat pre made dishes. Yuck. There are many other more consistently delicious Vietnamese places around here to patronize so I will no longer be spending my money at Phở So 1.

Decent phở place. The satay(15) phở is probably the best thing on the menu. Good décor and toilets.

If your hungry for some great food, stop here. Skip the fast greasy food joints next door and come here. The service will be better, the food comes out just as fast, and the taste is remarkable! I love the family atmosphere and these young servers give you the respect and smiles that other«chains» are missing. Huge thumbs up. Nothing on the menu will disappoint you!

I really enjoyed our visit here. The service we got was great and the food came out fast/hot and delicious. We ordered the shrimp salad rolls and the vermicelli rice bowl with chicken and spring rolls. I was very surprised by the portions — they were big for the price. Also, they had great Vietnamese iced coffee. Would I go back? Phở So!

What I love about this place is the reasonable price for the food. Vermicelli tends to be a hit or miss, but the Phở is amazing and tastes very good. The portions are great and staff are friendly. What I don’t like about this place is the service :(… The awful food/utensils kart that makes a loud noise as it carries the food around the large restaurant… Not to mention that the staff won’t take away the dishes that are you done with so it just sits there. Overall good Phở but the place feels under staffed :(

Had a BIG bowl of Phở with a spring roll, and the large bowl was huge. Excellent flavor and the meat was tender. The spring roll was crisp and tasty. The only complaint I could think of was finishing all of the ingredients in the bowl left a LOT of broth — which was good enough I couldn’t really complain at all.
