I was bored this week so I decided to actually browse around Chapters and see what they had to offer. When Chapters first opened in Canada ~15 years ago, they were primarily a book store, however they have definitely expanded their offerings to include toys, electronics and gifts as well. The toy section is well organized and not a mess(unlike Wal-Mart), gifts are in every nook and cranny and obviously the selection of books is quite good. I saw some amazing cook books there as well that included living paleo, living vegan, living healthy type books. And of course, there is always the in-store Starbucks so you can chill. Verdict: Maybe I’m getting old, but starting to like Chapters.

I love chapters. Any chapters location is usually a win for me. This location in particular is huge, always has what I’m looking for and is clean. The downside is that oftentimes you can find the same item on their website for less. They should at least price match their own prices. I wanted a book that had a significant dollar difference between the website and the store and ended up having to buy it online to get the lower price. Regardless, roaming around chapters is such an enjoyable process. They have a lot of random household items(pillows, serving dishes, etc) that are great for gifts but very expensive. They also have beautiful notebooks if you’re into those. The staff are always friendly and helpful and they have enough of those computers to search for your own product if you want. There is also a Starbucks inside, as most(all?) chapters have. This Starbucks is always crazy busy though so you’re better off getting your coffee to go and roaming around to find your next book.

as well with the starbucks that is attached this is probably one of the best locations i’ve been to. the staff is super friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. each worker we encountered yesterday seemed to really really enjoy their job, and actually be a book reader… rather then just a paper pusher…(see what i did there!) we actually came here with a group of friends, and we were the last ones to leave, because it we got caught in a great conversation with one of the workers… absolutely amazing wished i lived closer keep it up

Really impressed with the gift selection here. I practically did all my touristy shopping in their home section. They have maple glazed candles, maple syrup, olive wood containers, marble condiment dishes, etc. It’s a better version of Barnes and Nobles and closes an hour later(10pm) than the nearby Square One mall.

My experience here makes me feel a lot less guilty about buying books online. The store is the same as the rest — well set up and clean. The friendliness of the staff… no where close to the level of any/all of the locations I have been in. Maybe it was a bad day… I won’t be returning to find out

It’s always a pleasant experience when roaming around chapters. It’s a place filled with knowledge and wisdom with overpriced price tag. The store are well lit and greeted by amazing nerdy and cute accessories. This Christmas time, I was able to find to books that were used as a present for my nephews, biography of Michael Jordan and how to draw book. I would have not been able to find this without the help of the amazing staff who are employed by Chapters. I’m a sucker for good customer service. The only downside I would say, I was not told about the 5 dollar credit if purchasing anything over 50 dollars. No one should be deprived of their free promotion. Also they don’t match their own website prices, I find this ridiculous, and a cheap way to attract customer to their stores. Not cool. This is the reason for the 3 star. despite the average rating, I can’t help but visit this store time and time again. It’s a nice store and recommend anyone to at least step in at least once to appreciate the books.

This Chapters is awesome. This is a fantastic place to shop for gifts. They are open until 10 pm on weekdays. The attached Starbucks is open 24⁄7. The bathrooms aren’t the greatest(its understandable, they’re used by so many people taking the buses). The staff were friendly and there were so many sales! They have great tea pots, cups with cute sayings, useful little knick nacks like magnetic book marks, notebooks for travelling, ‘mom agendas’, and so much more. Everything was so cute. I could spend hours in there.

Next Chapters of my life .. . begin with going to chapters. I am a huge fan of book stores and books in general. They say that you only live one life, but those that read live a thousand lives. It’s because one person’s life wisdom can be recorded in a book and after you read that book, you basically learn all the lessons they learned, but in a fraction of the time. IMO everyone should read more and watch less tv. On with the review though, I came here with my buddy because we both happened to have gift certificates. We specifically chose to drive to this location because it has a wide selection of books. There are plenty of computers nearby too where you can search for the book you want and then it tells you if the store has any copies of the book and where you can find it. It took me less than 5 minutes total to find the book I wanted, but I lingered there for a while afterwards just looking at random books. I went to buy one book and left the store with three lol. This chapters is really nice and they have a Starbucks attached to it so that you can go have a coffee and read your newly purchased books. The staff was friendly and they are usually quite informative and willing to help you find what you need. This particular location I noticed is always really clean and well organized. Four stars! I have nothing bad to say about this place except the Starbucks there is usually packed with people. Tip: you can usually find the same books cheaper online using their website but I enjoy browsing and getting my book immediately rather than having to wait for shipping.

Came here a few times during work. Good location, right across SquareOne. I go for the Starbucks and sometimes walk around the Chapters. It is always busy during the afternoons.
