***Not currently a member. Review is just based on dropping by to check out the gym with the intention of possibly signing up!*** I’ve been meaning to check out this gym, in my area, since they opened up 3 years ago. Oops! To give you an idea, I’ve been to the 2 surrounding GoodLife locations, the local community centre, AND another gym that has since closed down(Premier). I did not like either GL locations — too cramped, not kept up well, & $$$ — and community centre is ok, but NOT as cheap as I thought. When I dropped by the gym today, I was told and shown that they’re currently in the middle of expanding. The women’s changerooms, especially the shower areas, were actually nice. Shower area had an upscale feel to them which was nice! Actual gym floor looked nice and open, not intimidating at all. Members actually had SMILES on their face — which I *always* notice when I’m checking out a gym! After my tour, while walking to my car, I saw another member walk out and I asked her about her experience and she said she’s been a member since it opened and she loves it! No hesitation whatsoever. Pricing-wise, there is a Regular + a VIP membership. The only difference is that VIP gets free bottled water, towel service, AND a protein shake at the end of their workout. Difference was marginal, +$ 10/mth. Surprisingly, membership here is CHEAPER than community centre! My only dilemma is the distance. I can walk 5mins to community centre OR drive 5mins here. Entering while travelling North is not a problem, BUT if you’re exiting, and going South, it’s a bit of a hassle ’cause there’s no traffic light out of this industrial plaza.
