Murphys Ice Cream Parlor

Cash only, delicious ice cream gelatos and sly shoes. AND PUPPY CONES!!! Perfect experience when the day is beautiful outside. Enjoy!

Went there yesterday evening, have just a little bit of a crowd before and after I lined up and seems like a good sign. Customer service is great. I ordered mango and cherry hard ice cream, unfortunately the flavors is dime in a dozen and does not wow me. Its more of a neighborhood joint.

I went there with my son today not realizing that this establishment is cash only, and I only had 7 dollars on me (or so I mistakenly thought) My son had asked me if he could have two scoops before we got there and I said yes. When I realized the place was cash only I asked my son to only have one scoop so I could still get a scoop of frozen yogurt for myself. My son (who is five) started to get upset with me, but the owner very kindly told us that he would take care of the situation. He made one big scoop look like two to make my son happy, and this truck happily worked…
Then came time to pay. To my horror, when I dumped out my change purse I realized I only had about $ 5.50. And the order came to $ 7.75. I had mistaken a quarter for a toonie when I first looked inside. This could easily have turned into an awkward and embarrassing situation for me especially because there were other patrons present, and the owner had already blended my frozen yogurt serving with fruit. But he didn’t hesitate for a second to reassure me that it was fine and I could repay him the next time I go there. I was so touched at his kindness I could have cried!
I will definitely be returning regardless because my son and I love getting a treat at Murphy’s whenever we are in Streetsville, but this incident meant allot to me and I will be sure to go back ASAP!!!

Best ice cream in town! I am addicted. And my one year old daughter gets a small free cone with a soft cream shot every time we go. The staff is really friendly too. Watch out they only take cash!

Good ice cream. Solid variety. I’ve yet to try other flavours but the Chocolate Brownie ice cream was pretty damn yummy. The Caribou Tracks ice cream was decent.

Me, Hubby, & our 2 year old went on an ice cream adventure to Murphy’s…The ice cream was pretty good considering they don’t make it themselves. We’d probably be repeat customers if it had not been for the 2 terribly unfriendly & grumpy girls behind the counter. Get a new job… you’re costing the company $$.

Okay place to have Ice Cream when you’re in Streetsville, which is really the only thing this place has going for it. If you were to rate the quality of Ice Cream it would be sub-​par and «commercial» tasting. They claim they make their own Ice Cream but that’s highly unlikely.

I was very disappointed to see the hard ice cream offered here, which was Mayfair. It’s a brand I’m not a fan of and which would definitely not draw me back here. I had a soft serve swirl instead. It was pretty good but quite small for the price. If I’m really craving a soft serve I’ll come back, but I am usually a milkshake girl and though you can get the hard ice cream as a milkshake, the only options of soft serve milkshakes they have are vanilla and chocolate which was really disappointing too. The owner was complaining loudly while I was there that they were ‘running out of everything.’ Overall it was very disappointing and had nothing special to offer either.

I profoundly love Murphys. Glorious location in the heart of Streetsville (and the piazza under development will be the perfect place to enjoy a sweet treat in the summer).
I like to think that the soft serve transcends all others… Kidding aside, it’s creamy and natural tasting. There’s a decent selection of hard ice cream and frozen yogurt as well. Nothing too splashy, though the strawberry cheesecake ice cream was heavenly. HEAVENLY.
Be warned: it’s cash only and the location is now hidden behind construction… but still completely worth it.

The cutest little icecream parlor in the midst of the busy Streetsville. You know its Summer when you drive down Main St. And find the neighborhood scattered all around the front of Murphys. Its a small place, and always busy during the Summer. My favourite time to go are late evenings, after dinner when its cooled down. We just hang around in the front and the kids love our short walks around the little downtown area of Streetsville after getting Icecream.

First time here tonight and it’s a little cute I’ve cream shop. Pretty small inside but it has a nice seating plan outside.
I got a mango frozen yogurt and it was yummy, nothing I haven’t tasted before. The employee put in fresh mango chunks to make it so that was cool. They had a lot of choices, not as much as other ice cream shops but still good!

The workers don’t wear gloves when making my icecream which I didn’t like. Other then that the taste was alright not bad. But price was a bit high. The best thing tho is the location. LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! Its fun to chill in the center of SV and enjoy a cone. Great location.

Menu’s not as impressive as Mississauga’s gem, Dairy Crème, but this is still a great place to check out in the summer! Located in Streetsville, it’s a lovely little area great for an afternoon stroll.

You know it’s the start of summer when Murphys is open for the season. The ice cream scoops are fairly big and they also have milkshakes and sundaes. Seating is outdoor only. The place gets very busy on weekends and after work.
