Really like this shop! While most record stores are hit+miss with what you’re actually looking for, Ric’s stuff is quality and the prices aren’t that outrageous. Context: Paying $ 70 for«Nirvana’s In Utero» 180G Pressing at Sonic Boom is outrageous. That said, he has a great selection. specializing I’d say mostly in 60’s-70’s. Although I did manage to find David Bowie’s Scary Monsters for $ 20(pretty much pristine condition) and a Bauhaus EPUK Pressing for $ 18. Again, both were/are pretty much mint condition. These were X-mas gifts, so I would have felt a bit weird about going to a flea market and buying LP’s with jackets on them that looked like a can of smashed assholes and saying«Merry X-mas!». Overall — really like this store + would definitely recommend — the quality of the Vinyl is incredible given the age of the records(ie. NOT repressings from 3 – 4 years ago).

I’ve visited Ric’s Recollections a few times since living in port credit. If you are looking for a wide variety of LPs your definitely going to find it at this place… you’re also going to empty your wallet. Ric knows what he’s doing when it comes to pricing. He says every album that comes in his door is tested before he even thinks about selling it which I completely respect. His prices are NOT cheap… I repeat… NOT cheap. If you are looking for somewhere that you can get a deal, perhaps try the Fantastic Flea Market in dixie mall. I love the window displays he puts together, it seems every time I pass his window it’s different. I’ve overheard some conversations he’s had with potential sellers, he has a no bull attitude which can definitely be a turn off if your a sensitive person. That being said, i understand that no he doesn’t want nor need 100 copies of a barbara streisand album. Whenever I browse in here I don’t usually end up getting anything because I know I can get decent Lps for cheap elsewhere but hey if budget is not a problem then this is your place. By the way, this is the only record store in Mississauga, unless you count the numerous flea markets. 3⁄5

Being the ONLY record store in Mississauga for over 20 years is reason enough to award Ric’s Recollections a 5-star, but after a long awaited person visit on my behalf I finally got to shop Ric’s insane collection of records! Moving to a larger location on Port Credit’s East side(about 1 km east of Hurontario), about 4 years has allowed for Ric’s to expand their offerings and inventory to a point where you feel like you’ve traveled back in time to the 60’s/70’s to go record shopping. All the classics are there… like all of them! If you’re a true audiophile, this is the place to be. I spend almost an hour doing a ‘quick’ skim of the categories that interested me most. Ric’s has got a lot of vintage vinyl going from $ 6 up to $ 35-$ 40, there’s something from every genre, category and generation on his shelves. That said, if you’re looking for something old… brand new, he’s got an expansive collection of re-releases and pressings that he keeps on regular order. These can range in price from $ 25 to over $ 100 depending on the album. For those still loving the smooth skip skip skip sound of CD’s, Ric’s has a good helping of these as well. I didn’t choose to browse because if I want digital music, I’ll download it from itunes, plain and simple. But if you’re still a fan of the old compact disc, I’d swing by here and check them out! Today I picked up a Best of the Beatles 1967 – 1970, Kick by INXS and Blue Train by John Coltrane! I can’t wait to get them home to listen!

Well kept store with decent selection but pricing verges on the ridiculous. I stopped going even though I live in the neighbourhood. Vortex is a better store.

Great little shop that’s full of high quality vinyl rarities. Lots of great Soul and R&B, decent NWOBHM collection, and some cool Psych oddities. Prices may be a bit high, but aren’t completely unreasonable. Unfortunately haggling is difficult as Ric tends to not budge in his pricing.
