We were there to see a specific comedian, so we were at least guaranteed some entertainment for the night. We’d ordered tickets ahead of time, so picking them up at the door was no problem. We were shown in and told that we could sit anywhere. Being brave souls, I towed us to the front row. Service was a little bit rough. I had to basically flag someone down in order to get served, and then their coffee machine was broken, so no Irish Coffee for me. I went with a Tom Collins, which wasn’t terrible. Their beer selection is completely forgettable, consisting of just mainstream Molson and other macrobreweries. I suppose people aren’t *really* coming here for anything fancy, but still, maybe put Steamwhistle or something local on the menu at least. Anyway, the MC was great, and completely filthy. That’s OK, because we were here for comedy. Overall it was a great experience, but mostly despite the venue, and not necessarily because of it. And man, almost 2 years(based on previous reviews) and the sign is still not lit?!

Always a great time and laughs in yuk yuks Mississauga!!! They have local talent and famous names that come through the door. I was privileged to see Gerry Dee! Had an amazing time. Gerry even paid for my bill because he made fun of my friend so much lol things happen when you sit front row! Lol service and food is good. The only downside is washroom aren’t the best and the chairs get a little uncomfortable after a while. But the main reason why you go is for the comedy! :)

My first IYE with the new GTA intern Jeffery @ Yuk Yuks Mississauga. I have been going to this YukYuks for years and depending on the nights can be ridiculously funny or ridiculously bad. It is really one of those places that you take a chance on to hopefully be entertained. My last experience here was a night where the comedian basically walked up on stage and said.“I don’t want to do comedy tonight… FU all… later” and then walked off… hmmm I remember being pretty pissed because we just spent money on cover and drinks and then one of the main guys that night said that. On one occasion. I laughed so much that I couldn’t hardly breathe. The club itself is showing its age and an overhaul is much needed. The service is great and the servers are attentive and friendly. One thing I did notice is that during the colder months, there is a really bad draft circulating through the club, so be warned if you get cold easily. bundle up! The night of the IYE had around 8 comedians and 1 headliner. On Thursday nights I assume is amateur night and on the weekends is when the professional headliners come out to entertain. There were comics I assume were working on their show or trying out jokes, because either they were reading off que cards or the jokes were a little questionable. 3 out of the 9 comedians were actually quite funny and were on point. It was a good first IYE for Jeff P and I hope to see more IYE soon! as for Yuk Yuks .I give it 2 Yuks.

Came here for an IYE(Intern Unilocal Event) organised by Jeff P. Thanks, Jeff! Lowdown: $ 6 Thursday evenings with a bunch of amateurs + 1 headliner. Domestic beer was ~$ 5. First impression? I couldn’t even find the club! I mean I knew it was in this plaza, but the sign wasn’t event lit up! From a business stand-point, this basically gives you an idea of what the inside conditions may be like. As soon as you step into the club — not really knowing if it’s even in business or not — everything is painted black. After you pay and go through the doors, everything is also painted black. As soon as the lights go on, things are still a bit dark. House lights could be brighter. If the point is to get the audience to leave as possible, right after the show is done, then they’ve achieved this. The dimness of the lights makes it uncomfortable to stand around and chat afterwards. As you go down the hallway and head down the stairs towards the washrooms, you see old photos of young-ish comedians. Tons of photos had fallen off with pieces of 2-sided tape still left on the black wall. I just found this a bit sad and somewhat disrespectful to the performers. I mean how much work does it take to re-tape photos onto the wall? I’ve been to Absolute Comedy and have performed stand-up before. If I had the honour of making it onto a wall of a comedy club and saw my photo just shoved to the side, fallen off the wall, I wouldn’t feel very good. So perhaps the owners can take some pride in their club? I don’t think it would require too much effort.

It’s dark, dingy, filled with a rag tag group of odd balls(some creepier than others)… and if it hadn’t of been for my GPS the lack of lit sign out front would have made me miss out on the laughs last night. But what am I saying… this is what Yuk Yuk’s is. It’s dark, dim, dingy… a little odd and a little wierd. But it’s Yuk Yuk’s. Love it or hate it, it’s still a place where some of comedy’s greats got their start. It ain’t pretty, but it’s cheap, there are drinks and some good snacks to munch on while you watch. Fair warning, Friday and Saturday nights are when the pro comics are in town, but Thursday is amateur night and it can be … painful. This is where lots of people get their starts so I’m all for supporting these folks, but just be ready to hear some bits that will make you cringe worse than nails on a rusty chalkboard. But, while the kinks get worked out, there are always some bright spots that will make you howl… and heck if that person makes it big, you can say you saw them first! I’d be back, I mean who doesn’t love a good laugh!

Once you’ve been to one Yuk Yuk’s, you’ve been to them all. I’ve been to the establishment many times. We went the night of Gerry Dee’s performance. It was a packed house. If it wasn’t for him, I’m sure it would have been easy to get a ticket. The food and beer choices are slim. I personally would never order the food there. It was nice when they had their Yonge & Eg location before moving downtown. I don’t think I’ll be going back to that location unless there is a major headliner.

I cannot give any stars to this place. Went there for a company outing. The fries were good, but the burger was cold. Their vegetarian pasta dish has no vegetables! Unless you count a few strings of bell peppers. The washrooms were disgusting. Dust filled floors with dried smelling chunks in the stall floor not sure if it was vomit or «other». 2 of the 3 sinks had long black hair strands in the basins and the sinks were cruddy as well. I really wish I was exaggerating but im not.

I think it’s great that there is a comedy club in the burbs! That said, I’m not sure how they stay in business. It was nearly empty when I was there on Thursday night so maybe the weekends are busier or maybe it was particularly slow because of the long weekend. In any case, I really liked the comedians and will go back again!

Came here for a UYE on a Thursday night with the infamous Nicole H. The place was pretty dead, maybe 25ish people. I’m thinking it was quiet because of the pending long weekend because the comedians they had on were pretty solid for a Thursday night. Funny enough both comedians opened with the same«Thanks for keeping this a secret» joke when they got up on stage and were commenting on the lack of a crowd. I kind of enjoyed the fact that the place wasn’t packed. It made for a little bit more of an intimate night. With the comedians that is, not Nicole. They seemed to adapt their material to the smaller audience. Everything is pretty standard for a comedy club. Brick walls, uncomfortable seats, crappy bar with nothing on tap, etc.
