Easily the best Sunday Buffet in Greater Moncton. Food quality and food quantity were great. atmosphere is nice also with modern décor. Only problem was the times I was there, staff weren’t always as attentive with beverages as they probably should. Again, not a major issue for me.

I’m a Platinum SPG member and am used to a free continental breakfast with fruit, pastries and more. Here they pushed hard not to give you the continental breakfast and that it was a bagel or muffin top with fruit. When I ordered their usual meal it was $ 14 for two eggs, frozen prepared taters that were greasy, bacon and toast. Service was okay. Next time I will goto Cora’s up the street.

Service was terrible. Staying the hotel. They need to give you free items as why else would you eat there! Actually didn’t eat there after 25 of no service. Asked for a menu and a bar menu then told me she didn’t have one as they were too busy! Ok time to leave! If I could give no stars I would.

No wait on a Monday night. French onion soup was good. Coconut shrimp good. Calamari very tender. Prime rib very good. Martinis fine. Maybe a bit pricey.

Went for supper and was craving steak. Service was great and the ambiance was pleasant. The meal was so-so. Not a good cut of meat and not well prepared. The price was WAY out of line for the quality of the meal. I would NOT recommend this restaurant.

Popped in for a lunch while in town for a football game, and staying in the same hotel that Maverick’s is housed in was just natural. Was a little more high end feeling/looking than I expected for a hotel restaurant which was a pleasant surprise. There wasn’t too many folks there when we arrived, and we got settled and served very promptly as such. I ordered the spinach dip and my dad and I each had steaks for our mains. The spinach dip was very bland and way too hot. Burned the roof of my mouth instantly. which sucks. I order a medium rare steak, but my steak was more on the medium side than rare. and I have had better seasoned steaks at a vegan BBQ. I guess I hoped in a steakhouse, that they would know how to cook a slab of beef properly. Unfortunately, I was wrong.

I was in Moncton for work and my colleague from Moncton office brought us to Maverick’s for lunch. It is actually a hotel restaurant, the hotel is called Future Inn. When I first walked in, I think the lobby of the hotel looks decent, modern, simple, I’d rank it with Holiday Inn Express something like that. but when I looked closer, maybe not, because the sofa they had in the lobby was peeling off already… The décor of the restaurant looks nice, but as soon as I saw the buffet set-up, I’ve discounted my expectation, right there… lots of people were having their buffet lunch. We just ordered from their a la carte menu. Menu options are very limited… and it’s like a family restaurant, the menu got lots of pictures in it… There are only about 5 – 6 options for main. They call themselves a steak house, but in terms of steak, there are only two options(prime ribs or striploin) and then they have fish and chips, burgers, 2 – 3 sandwiches to pick from. I picked the fish and chips, because I didn’t have a lot of faith in the restaurant already, and just wanted to go with something safe. It turned out alright. not the best fish I’ve had, and given that they are in a maritime, I am tempted to say it’s almost terrible. Mediocre service, our server forgot to bring our drinks until 5 minutes after she brought us our food, and she went«oh! I forgot your drinks, didn’t I?» the second when I was about to remind her. At the end of the dinner, the server brought up complimentary desserts for us to choose from, they are 3 – 4 different flavour of mousse cakes in a mini shot glass. That was pretty nice!

Arriving jetlagged in moncton, my grandfather took us first to maverick’s. Mavericks is a modern family style hotel restaurant. It serves up standard pubstyle restaurant fare(my dad/grandfather got the club, I got the beef dip, my grandmother got a Caesar salad). All of us enjoyed our meals. The prices were reasonable and the service was extremely friendly and prompt. The building appeared to be fairly new and as such the restaurant was quite modern. Definitely a safe option for lunch in Moncton.
