Restaurant Le Napoléon

Not impress. As I already posted on TripAdvisor, we waited for an hour to get our main course. The steak wasn’t medium rare but well done the first time, I got a replacement and it’s better but still not what I’ve asked and I didn’t want to wait for another one. The service wasn’t much better, the waitress didn’t come during that hour once to ask if there’s anything we need. Water wasn’t filled. I’ve given her 20% anyway since I thought it wasn’t totally her fault that the restaurant is understaff. I won’t be coming back even though I like to stay at the Fairmont Montebello.

What a great place for dinner. The chicken parmigiana was the best we’ve ever had-​a bit crunchy but not overcooked. Jeremy was an excellent server — merci! The manicotti was unreal — smoothest, tastiest cheeses ever with a home made pasta. What a treat for the family!

The food was excellent and the service also. Nice and cosy too. I had the seafood linguini… rich, creamy with absolutely no regrets! Worth every bite.

Awesome Alfredo! Too bad the smoking patron at the table next to us was rude enough to light up next to people eating! Totally disgusting!

Un accueil chaleureux, un service attentionné et une cuisine soignée. D’abord sans vanter le très bel environnement de Montebello trop souvent réduit à l’hôtel Fairmount de réputation nationale, voire même au-​delà des frontières, un arrêt dans ce village et des promenades le long de la rivière des Outaouais est vivement recommandé.
Une fois votre appétit aiguisé, rendez-​vous au restaurant Napoléon (rien à voir avec l’empereur, celui là est local). La maitresse de maison et son large sourire vous accompagne à la table de votre choix, pourvu qu’elle soit disponible car le restaurant est fréquenté.
Le service est rythmé et s’enchaîné facilement (nous avions choisi la table d’hôte) grâce à l’attention du service, le personnel est attentif et à l’écoute sans être aucune ostentation.
Nous avons eu un «petit coup de frais» sur la jolie terrasse, qu’à cela né tienne, ce petit monde va en un éclair vous ré-​installer dans la salle.
Sans vouloir chercher l’originalité, les plats sont forts bien construits et délicieux.
Allez-​y vous né serez pas déçus.

Sehr schön eingerichtet und nette Bedienung. Reichlich Auswahl mit Brot und Essig+Öl gratis Vorspeise.
Kein Wifi — was aber nicht zu erwarten war.
Vorspeisen: Garlic Shrimp war gut, aber nicht entdarmt (-). Bruschetta war eher eine franko-​kanadische Interpretation davon: Baguette mit Käse-​überbackenem Tomatenpesto (siehe Foto).
Lasagne Napoléon (wer hat den Namen für ein italienisches Restaurant gewählt?) war ausgezeichnet!
Auch wurde alles für zwei Personen serviert.

What a great surprise in a quaint little town. Loved that we were able to just walk in for dinner, no reservation needed.
Their selection for a house red was delicious, and the bread was served warm from the oven. I had the linguine pescatore. The photo didn’t come out very well, but the flavors were wonderful. It had a good mix of seafood. My husband had the chicken parm, after reading the reviews — he was quite happy with his choice.
If ever close to this town, definitely will stop here again.

Was in town for a work convention, didnt want to eat the crappy hotel food, decided to go out and try Le Napoleon… I wasn’t disappointed! Awesome food, great romantic ambiance, warm n cozy sitting by the fireplace, great professional service. A must try if you’re in the area!!!

We had a fantastic night at Le Napoleon. We were there off season in January… all of Montebello seemed quiet and dark… but not Napoleon. We shared the bruschetta… full of flavour even in January! My husband had the Napoleon lasagna and loved the peppers and onions on top of it. It was very fresh and homemade. I had the chicken parmigiana with alfredo pasta… MMMMM… it was very good. For dessert we shared some gelato. There really is something on the menu for everyone. A lovely night and great, attentive staff. Do give them a try! It is a short walk down from Château Montebello which we were happy to make so that we could both enjoy wine. I would have eaten there every night of our stay if we had known about it earlier.

We stopped in last summer. The Chicken Parmigiana was among the best I’ve ever had. Jeremy did an excellent job serving us. Thanks again, and until the next time we’re in town.
