A shiny place for shiny things and that’s it. A good place to buy jewelry but not to get piercings. Got my belly button pierced there last year, and they used a barbell two sizes too small. Months later my belly button was still bleeding. I had to take the piercing out, let it heal, then get it re-pierced at my usual place. Skip the bright lights and go somewhere where they know what theyre doing.

Utterly terrible. This place is akin to an infomercial. Snake oil sales all the way. Charming one to sell on thing and sell another. Got a bad piece which cost over 600, now stuck with a tribal tattoo I never wanted as a cover. Would never recommend to anyone to get ink here.

Smashley Dale did my script tattoo, I’d happily return to her for more work in the future. They seem to have a fairly high turn over rate for artists though, I’m not sure if that is normal.

I got my 1st tattoo here. While the tat was decent looking the lines needed to be done over as they were not even at all. All my other tattoos were done at other places that I found to be more professional and better artists in general. But for a first tattoo without much waiting time its decent enough.

Pretty sure this place gets a lot more hype than it really deserves but it’s still a decent place to go. I’ve come with some friends with tattoos and have only once been really been blown away by the work. I myself got my tongue pierced here and had a decent experience. No infections and everything healed nice. I’m never a fan of places that ask for and pressure towards tipping. Of course I’m gonna tip you, you pulled my tongue out and pierced it! By asking for it you’re only shorting yourself!

I’ve gotten a few piercings done here in the past, as well as my first tattoo, and today I got my fourth. I’m always pleased whenever I walk out. The ambiance has changed over the years and I must admit that I miss the old Adrenaline crew, however the new one isn’t so bad and it’s always pleasant seeing some of the old faces. Yesterday, Slicks tried to rip me off, so I came back to Adrenaline and got charged what I deserved and knew I would be charged, for a GREAT job done by an AMAZING up and coming star. Her name is Kass. At only 18 years old, she has worked her way up and I can only begin to imagine what her future in this industry holds for her. She listened to my every request, gave me exactly what I wanted(and more), for exactly what I wanted to pay. The customer service couldn’t have been better.

I had my rook pierced here in June and after months of waiting for it to heal, I found that the pain was increasing instead of decreasing and the swelling was never going down. I visited a local piercer in California and found out that my piercing was done too close to the surface and with jewelry that was significantly too long for the size of my ear and unnecessarily long to account for swelling. I had the jewelry changed and within a few days the pain decreased 90%. Unfortunately there is nothing I can do about the location and it is most likely to reject, but at least I am no longer in pain. Definitely not worth the $ 100+ price tag.

Adrenaline’s the place you go to when you want a tattoo for going out this weekend and you’re not all that picky about whether or not it’ll look especially good or won’t infect, or whatev. It’s quick and easy to get an appointment in and they’ll just get it done. And maybe that’s part of the appeal if you’re 18 or if you want to impress your new crush, but really we all know that getting a good tattoo at a good tattoo place usually takes months of prep and lead time. Typically, if the place you’re getting tattooed at sells t-shirts, piercings and various other knick-knacks, you’re not in the idealest place ever.

I had one tattoo from here done by both Tanya and the fill up by Daveé. or darren. cant remember, anyway. I was super young so I dont really recall anything as much but I definitely didnt have a bad experience, Tanya was super patient and attentive, and was cool as we chatted in between here and there. I wouldnt really say this is a bad place at all. They are strict on age policy though, so maybe carry a second around.

I had a friend recommend this place to me, unfortunately her judgment was way off. I have many tattoos and piercings and have been to a lot of different studios, this has got to be the worst. I went in to get my nose jewelry changed as the crystal I currently had was snagging on absolutely everything. I was disappointed in the selection of jewelry they had. It was cheap quality and quite ugly. The price wasn’t the worst however I was really disappointed in the selection I had and it was not implant grade. After selecting the ring I wanted, I waited for the piercer to become available to put it in for me as it was a beaded ring and I’d rather not have to deal with it myself. Once I was in the chair, the piercer had no idea how to take out my current nose jewelry… he ended up yanking on it thinking it was a pin and really hurt my nose, it aggravated the 2 — 3 year old piercing. I ended up having to intervene and take out the jewelry for him. After doing so he made the excuse that my piece of jewelry was«made for lips» and was a «labret»…neither of which is true. It was a pressure piece that I paid out my nose(pun not intended) for, a very nice piece of *nose* jewelry. He then put the ring in without much trouble and I was happy to get out of there. There seems to be a lot of shoddy tattoos that come out of this place as well… I would beware and do a lot more research before going to this place if you’re contemplating getting inked here. Definitely do not get pierced here.

I went here for recently for my second tattoo. I was lucky enough to get in with an appointment at the last minute. I was lucky to have Tanya do my tattoo. She was fantastic. very precise and detailed with a soft touch. Next trip to the great white may find me back in to see her for some more needling. The shop is cool. Two floors with great merchandise and it was very clean. I walked out of there with a great skull cap(damn cold up there in December). If in the market for a tat and in Montréal, stop in, the staff was very friendly too.

The people who rave about this place tend to be people who have not been to many tattoo studios. Or any tattoo studios. At all. They see an ad on the metro or in the Montréal Mirror and they go, what the hell? Let’s try Adrenaline out. This is many people’s first tattoo shop. I have met very few people who have gotten more than one tattoo from here, and the ones that did, often had(in their opinion and my opinion) shoddy work done. In my personal opinion, Adrenaline is a little overhyped. There are many other tattoo studios with amazing artists that do(in my opinion) better quality work for the same price and with better service. The fact that they sell clothing and hats is also odd. It’s like a dentist that runs a newspaper stand in his office — what the hell for? I’d get it if it were just a few t-shirts flaunting the shop itself, but it’s seriously like an H&M/Ardene merger in there. Anyway, I find it to be a little strange. From a capitalist/business standpoint it makes sense — sell more stuff, make more money. But I personally don’t feel it belongs there or in the tattoo industry in general. I’ve been here several times, mostly for when my friends insisted on getting tattooed/pierced here. Without exaggeration, many of my friends’ tattoos that they got here did not heal properly and did not pass muster, professionally speaking. Some of their piercings migrated/rejected quickly due to improper placement. When I inquired about what kind of autoclaves they use and asked to see some sort of cross-contamination training certificate, I was given a ton of attitude. Note that all this took place several years ago, and that things change — perhaps they have different staff members now and superior customer service than when I visited. Okay, so my advice is basically this: shop around. Don’t just settle for the first tattoo studio you see advertised in the paper or on the street. Don’t rely on word of mouth or even on this review or any other review — check out several shops’ portfolios and compare them with each other. If you genuinely like Adrenaline’s work at the end of the day, then give them a try.
