Holly Molly this place is AWESOMEEEE!!! I rarely ever brag about how awesome a restaurant is but they were so perfect tonight how could I resist?! As I walked in, I literally see flames going off in the middle of the table and people watching, all very mesmerized by the chef’s skills. The grillade show was very impressive to watch. There’s more than one chef and they cook at different tables in front of all the guests. Location: located on a very busy street(sherbrooke east/right next to vinnie gambinni) The restaurant is very very spacious, clean & elegant. They are highly staffed and that always promises me GREAT service. Service: Fantastic 5 star!!! The lady who greeted me as I walked in was Absolutely incredible, her name was Soumatra. She deserves all the credit in the world for her service tonight(Thursday November 12 @ 20:30) the boss should congratulate her, she was just super nice & enthusiastic !! She made sure to get exactly what I wanted. She explained how the menu works and even offered to help me choose. I do get indecisive when I order sushi because they’re all so awesome on paper and I can’t choose! I took my time figuring out what to get. The girl was so patient and I didn’t feel rushed at all. Kudos to her! I usually always feel rushed at a sushi bar but not here!!! As I waited for my food, the lovely girl offered me a glass of water but instead i ordered a soft drink while I waited, what a pleasant girl and so considerate of her. I didn’t even wait long! I got everything prepared under 10 minutes!!! Wow just wow! I got«fruit de mer tempura» combo and it came with a delicious onion soup, and 3 different types of sushi rolls. There was another girl who packed the food wrongfully but Soumatra freaked out and took over telling her to be careful it’s soup and it will leak!(Wow employee of the month right there!) The Food: when you think it can’t get ANY better, think again! The food was incredible. The flavours were so authentic to Japanese cuisine. The chefs are awesome. The seafood tempura’s were so fresh and succulent. Perfectly cooked and So tender. The Sushi’s were to die for! The rolls were tight and very large. They are very generous with the ingredients. You can so tell how much they value their customers because I didn’t feel«cheaped out» at all, as the food was prepared on the spot and everything was vibrant. The price was a little pricey but totally worth it. I Literally wished they were located in LAVAL!!! I am definitely coming back!!!

Amazing food. They use high quality meats and seafood. Price is okay but well worth it considering it includes a show and experience. Definitely will be back soon.

Ordinaire. Dommage.

Tapanaki! Yay! Our food was cooked right in front of us with a very entertaining chef who even sang to us. He was tossing and flipping the utensils and food. It was a good show. The portion was huge with plenty to eat. Caution, your food might be set on fire and the flames may wow you. We were there on a week night and at closing we had to exit via the back door which included a «tour» of the kitchen due to entrance renovations by the front door. Overall it was ok.

Bullet points ahead: *Fun. *Showmanship yay. *Chefs are good. *Flambéing is warm. *The fish in the aquarium are a show on their own, especially the fat ones. *A lot of food will be had. *100% worth the trip. *-1 star because of «rotating customers».

If you are hungry, skip this place. The portions are not generous at all. A sashimi appetizer including five samples of fish and seafood is called here entrée and does not include soup and salad. Sushi portions are bigger than average but you get only two per order. Green tea is served in the real nice cast iron tea pots but those are not pre heated thus the tea cannot really even dye the water. I am not sure what is wrong with québécois sense of spice but so far this is the only place in Montréal where I got the real spicy sauce. I had to order it as an option and it came(Ghochi Ja) mixed with Kraft mayo. Nothing is wrong with that, I am just used to Toronto where each place offers some unique variance to that and actually puts it inside sushi but not as a side. Overall the atmosphere is fine, the interior is in decent shape and the waiters are extremely friendly. Would recommend for one-off family experience.
