Do not waste your time or money at this place. Although the spa has potential the service is severely lacking. I bought a voucher for this spa with a package of services (massage, a head massage and a facial massage) supposedly worth over 200 dollars.
The whole thing lasted maybe a total of 1 hour and I very much doubt anyone in their right mind would pay 200 dollars for the service I received. He performed a 35 min body massage then proceeded to apply a gel on my face. He then leaves the room for 20 mins and when he came back, he roughly wiped off the gel with a wet abrasive towel. Then the facial and head massage started, which lasted a total of 5 minutes. He was massaging very hard on my face and pulling and tugging at my skin. Facial skin is very delicate and you’re not suppose to apply that much pressure especially not around the eye area! Before i could tell him, the facial massage already ended and then he proceeded to the head massage which again was very rough and lasted maybe 1 or 2 mins.
When it came time to pay for the taxes, he told me the taxes would be 15 dollars and I had to also pay for tip. I hate it when I am asked to pay tip because tips should be discretionary based on the level of service. At that moment I was more stunned over how much the taxes were! I asked him why taxes were so high and he said it was because they also add a 9 dollar surcharge to «open my file» at their spa. I did not fill out any information to authorize an «opening» of a file so I knew this was just a ploy to charge extra. On the voucher it said that a 9 dollar charge may be required to open a file for a therapeutic follow-​up but i knew from the experience I had that I would NEVER EVER be returning to this place. Why would any place charge you to keep a file with them in the first place? Should they not be encouraging repeat business? When I asked for an insurance receipt which i was entitled to as per the voucher, surprise surprise, he could not write me one because he did not have the right forms. He said he would email it to me the following day, 3 weeks later I am still waiting for that email even after multiple follow ups. I doubt I will ever get it!
Do not go to this place no matter how good you think the «deal» is. I guarantee you, it will not even be worth that «deal» price that you paid.
