Menu variable quotidiennement. Table d’hôte du soir également intéressante.

So this café is closest to henri-borassa metro and then another ten minute walk from there. if you’re a foodie, this isn’t far at all. but if you’re a namby pamby who doesn’t like to eat well, you don’t belong here anyway. this is a cozy, reasonably priced restaurant. we’re talking two starters, soup, the main meal, dessert, and coffee or tea for 70 without wine. the food itself was stupid good. fall-off-the-bone rabbit starter could have been a main for me. my bison was substituted for deer which was moist and succulent. my lady’s meal was a goat cheese and honey-laced salad, and roast goose leg. both were again, stupid good. the restaurant itself has a neighborhood feel to it, inviting and charming. we were seated next to a 1950’s style slatted rock wall. the tablecloths on our dark wood table were blue. the whole feel was charming and romantic without trying too hard. if there was any complaint it’s that the tables are extremely cramped. and also it would have been great to know before hand they were out of bison, when i ordered it. other than that? i have one word for you: burp.
