Well, I guess this is the place to buy churros in Montréal. Haven’t tried any of their empanadas and other dishes, but the churros are fresh and quite exquisite. Staff is friendly too. No place to sit down really, just grab a couple churros and find a friend to share them with while shopping for wedding dresses on Plaza St-Hubert.

from the kids to the parents to the grandparents to the aunts and uncles, this is a small family run restaurant that offers latin american fare. you’ll find the classics you’d expect from latin america from tacos to empanadas to churros. this is not your spanish churros which are thinner, crispier, tossed in sugar and dipped in chocolate. these churros are the mexican variety: bigger, not as crispy, tossed in cinnamon sugar and filled with either chocolate or dulce de leche. they are made to order which guarantees you a fresh batch as i have only tried the churros, i can’t really judge the quality of the rest of their menu(which is extremely hard to find except the empanadas counter) so this is all about that one item. these inexpensive treats are good hot. turn to crap when cold or the next day though. reheating don’t do them justice in the end, good little place for the neighborhood ps. i have no idea about their opening hours except that they are definitely closed on sunday and tend to close early the rest of the week

I never went inside the restaurant, so I cannot comment on how their service is. The restaurant itself seems nice and quiet, with very few customers. I usually order a portion of Beef Tacos for takeout, and oh my goodness they’re amazing. The ground beef were well seasoned, the handmade tacos were soft and tasty, fragrantly dressed with onions and cilantro, and the chilli sauce that comes with it gives a kick to the pallet that just unifies everything together. Love it, will try other dishes next time.

**** Uruguayan tiny place with two or three tables that looks like a cafeteria. They offer empanadas(like a samosa) which are very good: beef, eggs and olives(I prefer them) and also chicken and if I’m not mistaken, they make cheese empanada as well. I love walking on Saint-Hubert and order a hot Dulce de leche(caramel) churro in hot(to die for). It is a deep fried dough, sweet, soft and warm. I know they serve milanesas and sandwiches. They also serve Insalada Russa(potato salad). You can find products of Uruguay as mate and jams. It is nice to see the kitchen just behind the counter. Everything is a sight. The décor is really basic. This little place should be more marketing… The food and prices are not clearly displayed. I would appreciate a short description of the dishes. Also, they are not open very often: Wednesday to Saturday(if I’m not mistaken). And when the soccer team of Uruguay plays, everyone is welcome to watch the game! They go out and play tamtams!
