A total disaster from beginning to end. As a part-time resident, I needed a closet installation done during a specific week. I signed a contract 2 months in advance. The appointed day comes … and nothing! They blew off the guaranteed installation date without a care or concern. They had a week to install a 1.5-day job. Couldn’t come close. They didn’t order the right materials. And the original installation crew did not have the skill required to hang a basic cabinet. Their failure required my return trip to Montréal($ 600 airfare). And they were a day late for the rescheduled installation date. When the job was done, they had failed to install a hamper correctly, didn’t align a cabinet door correctly and left a permanent marker note on the inside door of a cabinet. And when a date was set to have an installer come out and fix their mistakes … he blew off the first appointed day, too. They are incapable of returning phone calls in a timely fashion. The people that you do speak to on the phone have no information and no ability to resolve even the smallest problem. There is no sense of ownership of problems that are wholly their doing. Certainly no desire to satisfy an aggrieved customer. For costing two weeks of my time and an airfare to Montréal, they offered less than 10% of the total price as compensation for my «inconvenience.» One of my biggest mistakes ever as a homeowner!
