This store is one of the first places I head to now to buy sewing notions. They don’t sell fabric, but they do carry most everything else. If I am feeling patient(which is rare), they have a catalogue where I can order pretty much anything I want or need. A couple of months ago I was looking for purse frames. They didn’t have any in stock but were willing to order some if I wanted. I didn’t because I was interested in using them right away so they suggested I try a few places in St. Hubert street and even offered to call around for me. Yesterday, I was out to buy a dress form to use until my «real»(ie: freaky expensive) dress form arrives in a few months. My BF told me to try Fabricville first, I did but they didn’t have my size(and I won’t get into their reluctance to call their other branches to find one for me). I immediately headed over to Garnitures and walked out with a dress form within 10 minutes. Hey, the gentleman who served me even talked to me about the different features of each, pros and cons, etc. In other words, he actually SERVED me. Nice. The people working at Garnitures are all very well informed, they offer information without that whole selling attitude behind it. I am a fan!
