decent coffee at the end of plaza st-​hubert that is always crowded.
place is small with a gigantic counter which makes moving around extremely hard. you literally bump into the tables in front of the counter.
coffee and other hot beverages are ok. they come piping hot which i always forget and always burn my tongue and can’t taste anything for days.
there’s wifi and a terrace during summer which are big plus.

the best thing about this place is that it has internet! As far as I can tell no other place nearby does. Other than that it’s your typical café with pastries and such. I wish they had better breakfast options, they only have a ham and cheese croissant sandwich – which is fine and cheap – but I wish there were eggs and stuff.

J’avais l’habitude d’aller travailler dans ce café pendant plusieurs heures. Il offre un cadre agréable et tranquille. Le café est bon. J’ai toujours fait attention à né pas abuser du temps passé là, et à consommer à plusieurs reprise durant les longues journées. Mais hier, j’ai reçu un très mauvais service au fil de la journée qui a affecté ma bonne humeur.
Après plusieurs heures passées dans le café (à consommer je précise), et bien qu’il y avait plusieurs tables libres, on m’a demandé dans un premier temps de me déplacer vers une table individuelle.
Une heure après, un serveur m’interrompt dans ma concentration pour me demander de mettre mon manteau sur la chaise en face de moi, et non à mon côté pour permettre aux clients de s’asseoir, alors que, encore une fois, il y avait plusieurs tables libres tout autour.
Combien de fois doit-​on être policé pour des raisons normatives dans une journée? C’est à mon sens un très mauvais service au client.
Coup d’arrêt de la fréquentation de cet établissement pour moi.

Really not sure why it only has the one on Rue Saint-​Hubert, but there is one on Rue Parc at the McGill ghetto, competing with Café Presse and Second Cup. The atmosphere here is the best out of the three cafes. Although it is plagued by «studious» students during the school year, El Mundo is a really good place to relax and do work on your computer during the summer.
I’ve tried their hot chocolate, which is amazing, not too sweet. It doesn’t have the powdery taste that some cafes have in their hot chocolates. Now that it’s summer, I’ve finally had the chance to try their iced teas (my favourite drink, if I may say). Try their green tea melon. It’s refreshing in a hot summer day. A little pick me up in the gloomy Montréal weather.
