Really excellently curated vintage shop in Little Italy. For some reason I had never really spent time in here, I don’t think the window displays ever particularly call to me, but a recent neighbourhood mosey on a warm winter day led me discover their truly excellent depths of high quality sweaters — beautiful wools, bright colours, in perfect condition. I got an emerald green merino cardigan that I’m pretty freakin pleased with which was on sale for the holidays. There is a ton of stuff here for men and women, including some cool pieces by local artists, notably some embroidery art work that I love. I’m very glad I finally found my way to Ex-Voto, I’ll be back often.

Great vintage store! It was close to home, but I never went there until this week… I was hoping to find a really cute high-waisted jean skirt!(And I did, yay!) This shop was filled with clothes and there was light, nice music playing in the background. Otherwise, it was pretty quiet and I enjoyed the quietness. There were racks of clothes, a bit more for women than for men, but still lots of stuff for men. They also selled beautiful, intricate jewelry, cute notebooks and a lot of other things made by local brands. The clothes were really cute and a lot less expensive than some other vintage shops, yay again! Definitely would recommend this place to go shopping.

another vintage clothing shop in little italy! i remembered before i was on Unilocal,Unilocal hosting an event at the only vintage shop that was located next to parc petite italie(with cronuts and all) which made me laugh as cronuts were all the rage in montreal for some months. anyway, that vintage shop eventually closed down and that part of little italy lost some soul. mind you, there’s 2 fucking awesome bars but other than that, there wasn’t much until ex-voto came and set shop near la cornetteria. vintage is back and its fucking sexy. and along with, they brought some local designer friends like pony mtl and féline dion, one crazy lady and two crazy cat ladies. i mean crazy, not really. just want to take a dive in their mind and see how it works and be totally amazed and probably fall in love. i passed by many times over since they opened last fall(about a year old) but never set foot in until i started looking up where i could grab some of the mentioned brands in a retail shop knowing that i missed puces pop or next edition is too far and shipping kind of kills it for me. and that is how i found out about ex-voto. amazing shop, friendly staff. hidden treasure to be found. very loved by fashionista hipsters. no presence on Unilocal so i’m spreading the love
