I had lunch here this week and really really enjoyed it! Located on Beaubien between St Laurent and St Denis on a corner spot full of windows there are good vibes and good eats here and I was glad to discover it.
The food is Italian /​French. They make everything fresh, and the room is comfortable and good looking. You can grab fresh pasta meals from the counter to eat at home, but it’s also a BYO with tasty desserts and salads on the menu so it’s a totally nice option for an easy meal out.
I tried the Champion Salad, a twist on a Chicken Ceasar, with a slightly sweeter creamy dressing offset by the fried salty capers, candied fat bacon, and very tasty and generous roast chicken. I felt like I ate really well and was super happy and healthy and full for my $ 10. I’ll be back to grab some pasta or sauce soon for sure, not least because I was so warmly welcomed and the chef came out from behind the counter to check in and see if I was enjoying my eats. There was a young mom eating a nice meal solo and playing with and nursing her cute tiny baby and that alone suggests to me a place where clients are cared for, respected, and comfortable. In general seems run by some young, earnest, talented folks and I wish them the best.
