Valmont Montréal

I’m a big fan of Valmont. The staff are friendly, they have nice fruits and veggies and a nice selection of specialty items. Oh and Arhoma bread products, yum!
I’ll be honest, although the fruits and veggies are good quality and there are types you might not find elsewhere, they aren’t always the cheapest if you shop around. HOWEVER, and this is a big one, they routinely package up and discount the produce that is starting to get a bit old and this is where a lot of great savings can be had. Unlike other places that only discount their produce when it is just about rotting away, Valmont does it with enough time that you can actually use the produce.
Another great point about Valmont is the staff. While other shops looked at me like I was nuts when I told them I wanted to buy a couple of cases of cans of olives (special mission from some family who live far away and can’t get these olives locally), at Valmont they happily sold me what I wanted, even brought the cases right to the cash for me.

Some unique items to be found here, fruits and veggies selection was a bit limited and way too pricey for me.
The meat and cheese section is nicely laid out, and there are quite a few healthy types of food.

Great store. They sell fruits, veggies, cheeses, cold cuts. I love it all. You shouldn’t be disappointed.
