I REALLY wanted to like this place. It’s minutes away from my new apartment… But it was disappointing. The good: service was very friendly. Environment was nice, patio looks good. The bad: $ 7 – 10 per glass for really bad wine. We tried three. Couldn’t believe it. The dough, sauce, &cheese part of the pizza was tasty enough, other toppings were an afterthought. The pasta was frozen and drowned in a useless cream sauce… $ 18. Not recommended.

Unpretentious and welcoming small new neighbourhood restaurant on a low key part of St Zotique. We got there early and were the only ones at first but a trickle of locals came in throughout the meal, which I was gratified to see. The service was so great, one easy going woman slipped easily between French and English, moved calmly between tables, got everything done without fuss or delay, with an easy laugh and ready answers to our questions. Food was served quickly and hot, and the table was cleared right on time without us ever feeling rushed. Pacing is so subtle and so nice and homey when done right. We shared a pizza — the prosciutto one — and a pasta — something with soft fat noodles, a lovely light tomato sauce and crispy pork — and these were delivered plated for sharing(half and half) without us having to really ask. Everything was delicious, I rarely order pasta when out but would do so again here for sure, and the pizza dough was thin, chewy, crispy, light and full of flavour. With a glass of wine this was a totally affordable meal. If it had been nicer out I’d have sat on the cute side terrasse, but I was very cozy inside by the big converted garage windows. This place isn’t fancy or high end, it’s some place I’d bring my family and they’d feel happy and comfortable and cool, and everyone would find something to eat that they liked.
