I used to take some swimming classes here. The pool was convenient and the classes were fun. The staff is friendly and helpful. I’m not a very big fan of this gym however. It doesn’t appeal to me. I wouldn’t sign up here. I think they don’t really have that many fun group fitness classes. It is also pretty crowded most times. The prices for students are fair and if you live close, it’s the best choice for a personal gym.

I had a hard time finding the right gym for me as I am a student and didn’t want to pay a ton. I also wanted plenty of yoga opportunities! I decided on YMCA du Parc initially due to location but the student price is fantastic! I think it’s cheaper than the gym on my campus! There are yoga classes everyday and plenty of gym equipment to use! It also came with one free training session with a personal trainer and a few punch passes for friends to come with you! Another rare thing is on the student plan you can cancel at any time which is something I’m not planning on doing but it’s nice to know I have the option. Friendly staff, plenty of yoga, a pool, and excellent prices for students! I’m happy being a member here!

I’ve loved this Y ever since I joined as a member 19 long years ago. I’m back in town visiting and took advantage of the fantastic 5 visit drop-in card, which roughly breaks down to a little over $ 12/visit. Totally worth it for the great views from the 4th floor work-out rooms. I love that I can cycle and gaze upon the lovely mountain or row and take a look down to Parc to see what’s going on. The other people here are relaxed and friendly and I’ve never had a problem getting the machine I want. My only comment is that I wish that they had more classes on the weekends and earlier in the morning but it’s possible that I don’t know what the situation is like here on a day-to-day basis. I know that they have a thriving day camp situation going on here and the pool is small but very accessible. Limited time for families though… again, maybe I’m not understanding the local demand. In short, I think this is a great facility and a wonderful anchor of the Mile End neighborhood.
