First time here. Nice little shop. Cupcakes are excellent. I would recommend you give them a try if you are in the area

Really cute shop with tasty cupcakes. They don’t quite warrant their price tag however I still pick one up from time to time.

The cupcakes were ok. I don’t know if I am spoiled after living in a big city for the last 10 years or if I am picky, but I didn’t taste anything that warranted the price of a cupcake at this place. Don’t get me wrong, we ate them, but they weren’t that memorable.

Nanaimo has some the sweetest of food treasures, and Medina’s shop is one of them. Be sure to stop in for a cupcake or six. A wee shop, with a wonderful caring woman at it’s helm, you’ll find a perfect compliment to your day in a cupcake, a parfait, or other sweet treat. Fair Trade coffee, brewed or espresso drinks, make a great accompaniment to all the chocolate. Her Black Forrest is my favourite, it’s a rich chocolate with cherry and whipped cream on top, no heavy icing, just a moist delicate cake finished with just the right amount of sweetness. With a rotating display of cupcakes, your best selection is before mid-day. Be sure to try the Nanaimo bar cupcake, a unique spin on an old classic. From Red Velvet to vanilla, seasonal creations like egg nog or pumpkin, she also offers gluten-free and vegan cupcakes. She’s proud to be a locally owned business and takes the time to chat with her customers about things beyond«Chocolate or Vanilla?». Do the same, you’ll be glad you did

I have never been a huge cupcake fan, my roommate however is. So we decided in the summer to check this place out, and if I could eat cupcakes for breakfast lunch and dinner I would be camping out at this store. My fav is the red velvet. Best icing ever! I also like the seasonal ones at Halloween, an christmas, can’t wait to see what she makes for valentines day! They seem expensive($ 3) but when you try one you will never get them from a grocery store again!

A Wee Cupcakery is as advertised… teeny tiny little place, but worth seeking out for a wee treat! Nestled in the Old City Quarter, barely a store wider than its doorway, we found this little place by a word from a cupcake loving friend, and decided to head out there for a Saturday afternoon treat. Note: don’t go for a Sunday or Monday afternoon treat– they’re closed. But when we walked in, there were a total of 9 cupcakes left in the whole wee store. 3 of them were vegan, not my thing, and one was a pineapple right side up cupcake, not my thing either, but looked very pretty. I suppose it’s a good thing, she’s been busy! I’m a chocolate fan, and luckily, the rest of the cupcakes fit the bill. We picked up a couple«2nd day of the year» cupcakes– chocolate with chocolate frosting– along with a chocolate ganache cupcake, and a red velvet cupcake. The winner of the bunch by a long way was the chocolate ganache. The frosting was more like chocolate mousse than frosting, and had a whip cream center. It was luscious.(well, the two bites I had of my hubby’s.) I had the red velvet. The cupcake in mine was a smidge on the dry side, but the gorgeous cream cheese frosting made up for it. It was a just perfect bright red. The kids really enjoyed their cupcakes, too, their faces covered in chocolate. We wondered, 3 bucks for a cupcake? Yep… worth it. :)
