Great Food nice staff. A little pricey. But would eat there again and again :))

This place is awesome! Ordered a Greek salad with chicken souvlaki. Which far exceeded my expectations!!! Delicious

Visited Wed July 8 group of 45. My group basically had the entire restaurant and the 2 servers tried there best to keep up with us, we made reservations in advance. It didn’t help that my friends didn’t stay in one spot throughout the night so the servers took time trying to figure out who ordered what dish.
The food was great, it took about 30 min to get my Chicken Focaccia. The menu is fairly standard nothing exotic, and the food is a generous portion. Our group was fairly loud, normally it is fairly quiet with capacity is about 50 people. They even had a small patio.

Just had the Rosemary Chicken and it was absolutely perfect. Apparently everything is made with love, so I guess that explains the deliciousness of everything.

Overall experience was great. Food had a lot of great flavour– except the basket of dry, cardboard-​like pita bread that came with the lentil soup. It was very busy when we went for dinner but the food still came within half an hour. It was a little bit over priced for the spinach pie plate, but I’d go again for something like a falafel… Also, another server or busser would have made the experience more pleasant. There was only one server who was too busy to fill our waters or clean leftovers on tables next to us :(

Food was pretty good. The carrots are a bit odd. You’ll either love them or not. Most people seemed to be getting pitas which looked good. I went with the dinner plate and the meat was good.

A little understaffed? Yes, a single waitress is the extent of the front area staffing. But the place isn’t very large, and she did a nice job of keeping our large group well provisioned. Additionally, she was extremely friendly and cool.
It’s the food, however, that makes this place rock. The plain hummus and the sun-​dried tomato infused hummus and the basket of hot pita bread that’s served as kind of an amuse bouche is f’ing awesome. And I have to say that the blackened Halibut special with rice pilaf and what I think was a fresh lebanese salad was absolutely fantastic. The halibut was perfectly cooked and seasoned, the rice was fresh and firm (although it was a little bland), and while I’m not a big salad fan, I absolutely devoured this delicious rendition.
Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed this place, and I would recommend it to everyone except Rob Ford, because although I’m a fan of his, I think Aladdin’s would run out of food if he was to dine here.

An incredible Restaurant !! — The people are fabulous who work here and If I could cook I would definetly want to be in the kitchen !! Looks like alot of fun !! Food to die for !!

It looks like an average diner, it is not average at all. All the plates in the party of 5 were outstanding. Fresh, homemade, delicious, large portions, great value. What more can you ask for? Well there was more, amazing service from everyone in the restaurant. I can’t wait to get back for more!

Another great eatery in downtown Nanaimo. Amazing lentil soup. Been here several times and the food is consistently excellent & the staff friendly.

Coffee.
I needed a coffee after driving an hour or so to Nanaimo’s waterfront area.
I was delivered to Aladdin’s Café, on Victoria Street, and got my coffee.
Awesomely strongee, incrediblee rich otherwise perfect cup.
Yes a perfect cup of coffee.
Don’t settle for anything other than Aladdin’s.
Oh, btw, nice décor, Middle East flavour, They have a food menu, and there were many others enjoying food there.
But as I began my story here, it was the coffee I wanted, the coffee I drank, and the reason for this review is … good coffee.
