Love the sushi at tomo! We always order fresh but they have ready to go in the cold case. Yum!

We found this place by accident, a happy accident! We ate in, not much seating. Looks like most people go there for take out. The sushi was fresh and very delicious. Disappointed that they didn’t have teriyaki. Would definitely eat there again.

It sucks that it’s closed Sunday. I think that’s pretty ridiculous. Apparently they used to be open Sundays and now they’re not. What I’ve ordered made fresh has been delicious. What I’ve bought off the wall has been terrible. Dry rice and a but funky. Not cool… Incredibly good prices though. They have that going for them for sure. Delicious fresh made sushi at affordable prices is what I appreciate this place for.

Walked in, walked out. Smelt funny… Not a fan, prices were also high. I dunno about this place. Nanaimo and Sushi mustn’t do well together. Try at your own will…

I tried this place twice because i keep hearing how good it is and twice it has been horrible! For me, it’s the suyshi rice and qualiy of the fish that makes goos sushi and they don’t have either… rice was bland and tasteless and fish was not so fresh… Definite pass.

Awesome take-out sushi joint! What gives this place 5 stars is the amazing service my cousin and I received. My cousin can’t have gluten, even a little, and the chef was so knowledgeable and helpful that we were just so amazed. The chef knew all about hidden sources of gluten and told my cousin what she could and couldn’t have, and offered to make the spicy sauce for our«hockey night platter» without any gluten. He made everything fresh for us right there, was very fast, and joked and chatted with us the whole time. The friendly girl at the till was also polite and wonderful. The chef even made the California rolls with real crab at no extra charge so my cousin could eat those, too. It was so nice. They also carry wheat-free soy sauce in packets, should you not have any at home. What other sushi place does that? Seriously. We learned that tobiko(the tiny fish roe) comes packed with soy in it, and contains wheat. Who knew? My cousin sure didn’t and now knows why she was getting sick from some sushi. So the super awesome chef packaged the tobiko in a little container in case the boys wanted to add some to their rolls when we got home. The big platter of rolls that fed four of us only came to $ 30 and change. Sweet deal. When we got home we noticed that there was a post-it note on the top of the box that read«Dynamite roll and fish roe contain wheat». Awww.
