Value Village

When I go to Nanaimo I have a friend that is addicted to going to Value Village. Or as she has dubbed it ’ the Double V’. They have a few things going for them. First and most important is that they have a lot of stock which is well organized into different sections. They also have good hours and are often open fairly late. This particular Value Village is pretty good for finding treasures as it isn’t totally picked over.
Of course there are some less than savory aspects of the village lifestyle. I find the pricing can be a little high on certain items. When I go to a thrift store I want to feel like I have found a treasure for a good price. Sometimes I have been absolutely shocked at the prices they charge. Another is the lack of staffing. There never seems to be enough cashiers at this location. Every time I have been here, no matter what time, there is always a line up.
