Calling all horchata lovers, this is the place to try! Located conveniently on the platform of the New West skytain station, Bobacabana not only specializes in bubble tea, but also delicious looking waffles. This is a small space, with seats for only 6 people or so, so it’s best to do take out. They have a good selection of bubble teas, with many unique flavours. As horchata is one of my favourite drinks, I had to get one with pearls added. The result? A perfect cup of homemade horchata(you can really taste the difference), with chewy pearls. You could taste the smoothness with the cinnamon and almond flavour. It wasn’t overly sweet nor watered down. On a hot day, this was the perfect refreshing beverage!

Not very good, wouldn’t go back. We had the strawberry waffle, green tea ice cream slush and pineapple slush. Both the pineapple slush and strawberry waffles were very bland. Might be because the fruit wasn’t ripe enough. Owners have a few things to learn still. Customer service was pretty bad as well. Staff weren’t very friendly or helpful. Supplies were not stocked either. All around not enjoyable. Definitely not a place I would go back to.

Love that downtown New West has great bubble tea! Stylish little shop by the eastbound skytrain platform. Minimalist interior, super nice staff, great menu. In addition to bubble tea, they have tasty looking waffles, healthy smoothies, and their own unique take on teas. I had the taro milk slush with coconut jelly. Delish! Will definitely be back to try those waffles!

WOW!!! I have never had a waffle like this place makes. Imagine what angel sounds would taste like. Yes that’s it. Light as air, crispy perfection, and the toppings were extremely fresh. We will be back for sure. Gotta visit heaven again soon!

I saw this reviewed on the front page of Unilocal on January 26, 2016 and book marked it for future reference. It’s close to the train station which makes this even more awesome. Very small place, therefore, seating is limited. It’s a grab and go situation. Very reasonably priced. I had the chai almond milk iced bubble tea with no sugar. The guy at the til who I assume is the owner was super friendly.

Always come by when I’m in the area, loved every drink I’ve had so far and staff have always been friendly! The Thai iced tea is awesome and the waffle desserts are a must! I come all the way from Vancouver so that should tell you something!

Passed by this little waffle house with my boyfriend when we were visiting a friend in New West. This is NOT your average bubble tea house! Their drinks are fresh, tea are made with their in house blend, and bonus– the waffles are so good looking and delicious! My boyfriend and I ordered a chai milk tea and Oreo volcano waffle. The waffle was the right balance of crisp and sweet. Enough to say it was a perfect little date. PS. Whoever picked the music playlist has class.

What an awesome discovery in an area without much bubble tea. Its location could not be more convenient as it is right in the New Westminister sky train station. I couldn’t resist getting the speculoos waffle. While I found the waffle to be a little too crunchy, it worked okay with the whipped cream, ice cream and speculoos cookie butter. I enjoyed that it wasn’t too sweet making it the perfect dessert. I’ll definitely be back and next time I’ll check out one of their bubble teas or maybe one of their bubble waffles.

I came in here with my siblings after a day of wedding dress shopping in the area. It’s a tiny little place with seating for about ten people. I had to Hong Kong Milk tea(hot) and shared the match and red bean waffle with my sisters. The milk tea was legit. It tasted exactly as you would expect in a Hong Kong café. The waffle was also quite delicious. It was the perfect crispiness and fluff! The toppings were generous too. Service was great and really friendly. One staff member even brought us samples of their Oreo Volcano waffle for free! Bonus! Definitely worth checking this place out if you’re in the area. I’d like to come back and try some other waffle and drink options!

My husband and I stopped in here for the first time the other night after hearing great things. We were not disappointed! We shared a waffle with our young son(ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate etc. I can’t recall the name). One waffle was a big enough portion for the three of us to share which is always a nice bonus. It was so incredibly delicious I have genuinely been daydreaming about it ever since. We also loved the décor, the shadow boxes and fluorescent sign are nice touches. I haven’t had the chance to check out the rest of their menu yet but I was so impressed with our first visit, I’ll definitely be back. My only critique is that the service was very, very slow. We had to wait a long time for our food even though there was no one in line ahead of us and it was late at night. Other than that, a lovely experience.

Love their waffles! They are just right. Perfect crispyness. Just wish they gave you a bit more dipping sauce in the to go cup as I always finish the sweetened condensed milk before my waffle is done!

It’s really nice how there’s a coffee/dessert place RIGHT at New Westminster Station. They’ve a good selection of warm drinks and waffles, though it’s a bit on the pricier side(~4.25 per drink and ~8.00 for a waffle). That said, the folks that operate the joint are super friendly and seriously, RIGHT at the station. Funny note though, if you have to use the bathroom, they don’t have one, so you have to walk a few doors down and use the one inside Landmark Cinema.

It is decent, but it isn’t great. On two visits I found the flavours lacking and being out of tapioca mid-day is really like KFC being out of chicken. It isn’t acceptable. I think Bubble World is the better Bubble Tea option in New Westminster. All this being said, they have a great décor and fantastic location. If I am in the are I will give them another shot, but so far I am not impressed.

New West can finally let out a sigh of relief. A legit milk tea café has finally arrived. So far I’ve tried the Horchata, Taro shake(they use REAL taro), spicy cuban(waffle sandwich), and the Mango slush. All very good and everything was fresh! I was surprised at how large the drink cups were — they only have one size. I need to go back ASAP to try their shaved ice and bubble waffle. and the cookie butter milkshake. and also the Nutella Chocolate shake(yes, this drink exists!). The employees have been exceptionally friendly and the café somehow always has delightful music playing when I walk in. Consider me a regular.
