Went in to use the KFC coupon. Walked in and was seen by a guy but he didn’t acknowledge me or tell his co-worker I walked in. Stepped up in front of the till and had to make eye contact with the lady filling a drive thru order for her to say«I’ll be with you in a few minutes» So I waited… Eventually got served by an older lady, she was fast. I think they prioritize drive thru orders, so the walk in service is lacking.

Food is like all KFCs but hey the service is the worst. .new managers every couple months and overworked and unconfident due to manager EGOS. .one manager named Jagir is from another planet .rude.uneducated.WOW how do you hire a manager like this. last 4 orders 2 were incorrect. you go into the restaurant and I see someone exchanging there order due to wrong order or bad food. They gotta get a proper manager .And at the end is it me or do the wing bones break EASILY from this location ??? Hmm grade B meat?.. order from 10th Ave or 5000 Kingsway. Way better

One of the better cleaner KFCs, corner location by the Esso gas station, on the end of the main road of New West. But still could use a facelift, this one’s past its prime.

Decided to try this location again after a year long ban. Last time the delivery driver was upset about a $ 3 tip, I explained that after the $ 4 delivery fee I wasn’t about to pay more. He began to tell me that he isn’t paid an hourly wage and works only for tips(not my problem) I explained how that’s not right and regardless I would not be giving him more, he informed me that next time I should go get the food myself. Wow. I called kfc to ask about the drivers wages and informed them of our interaction only to be givin a $ 5 credit on my next order, thanks kick. Anyway, today I caved and tried again to find the same ridiculous fee, most impressive was being put on hold when I called to ask why my gravy wasn’t in the bag. The manager really needs some interpersonal skills as she simply said it would be arriving«in a while». Well anyone who is a fan of gravy knows you can’t eat your food first and wait for gravy(that was already paid for) I explained that I did not want to microwave my food simply so that it could all be eaten, all she asked was«what do you want me to do?» Here’s an idea, give me my money back for what I didn’t receive and maybe an apology? Blah. Bad service and dry chicken. For sure never doing that again!

There are so many combinations when the coupons are out. Usually a 2 can dine meal is a good value but I have pop at home so last Saturday I spent ½ hr trying to figure out what to get. Got a bucket &4 pc w fries as it seemed ok price wise. Oh next coupons out prices may be different. Wife said to get just chicken as we had quinoi at home. I said no way as fries are my favorite food so I had to sneak in individual fries w my order. Its Sat night & I want to eat unhealthy. The following day she made sandwiches w the chicken & she was throwing out the skin! Thats the best part!!! Kfc is ok in my books but less one star for making complicated options & less another star for confusing a drive through customers order & he came in & argued. Well its not the staffs fault b/c he drove away. But I did feel for both parties & offered my chicken pcs to expedite his order & I could have waited but the man waited for staff to redo his order. Id say be kind to fast food workers. I was one myself.

Pros: Food quality, it’s the same as every other KFC I’ve been too, not amazing but that same delicious KFC taste. Cons: Service. They messed up my order, gave the wrong salad and didn’t give utensils, also put tomato on a sandwich when asked not too. I called in to complain, they offered me my full meal as a complimentary gift, I went in the week afterwards and they were very reluctant to give it to me. They said that I shouldn’t have been given the entire meal for such a simple mistake, and I agree I shouldn’t have but in the service industry you NEVER go back on something you’ve promised a customer. They took twenty minutes to decide whether or not they should give me the meal complimentary, at one point the Manager intervened and said to me «Next time we give you a meal check it first for mistakes» I understand that in the fast food industry mistakes happen but I’m paying you for a service, I should not have to inspect my food to make sure you got it right. Sadly that earned them a somewhat negative Unilocal review. :(

It’s the KFC that we all love or hate for its greasy, salty, fried chicken goodness. I usually only get the fried chicken and it hasn’t changed in the 20 years that I’ve had it(not EVERY day or else I’d have died from a massive heart attack), regardless of the location. I personally prefer KFC over A&W and Church’s, but I can only speak for the fried chicken: I haven’t had the popcorn chicken or the chicken sandwiches or the other items on the«Canadian» KFC menu(the Americans seem to have more items?). KFC is you pay for what you get.
