This restaurant has the best Crunchy Roll in Lower Mainland. If you do not know what crunchy roll is, it’s a sushi roll that has shrimp tempura in it and tempura flakes + special sauce on top. pardon my language but holy fuck balls is the sauce flavourful and the tempura so crunchy. it is seriously so good. In addition, I have tried multiple rolls from this place(as I live right across from the restaurant and ordered a bunch of pick up orders). I would suggest Kamikaze Roll(smoked salmon, Cali roll + cream cheese and special sauce) and chicken teriyaki roll. this place is good even with their California rolls, no lie. Their spicy sushi combo is a bit lacklustre though, or so my cousin tells me. Pro-tip: pick up orders usually take about 10 mins, and I recommend calling in rather than eating in. I think they get prioritized(I could be wrong tho).

Usually grab the #1 tray or an assortment of nigiris. So far, no complains here even in their take-out foams. I haven’t tried any of the other rolls other than the ones in the tray.

I’ve been here a number of times for a quick lunch and it has never disappointed. The sushi is well presented, tasted fresh, the menu has a lot of interesting options. I’ve tried a couple of the different salmon, crab and tuna rolls. Small place, no ambience, a little on the pricey side considering the place. Ultimately I’m there for the food and it has always been clean, predictable and good.

Wow, I don’t know what to say but to be honest I actually didn’t enjoy this restaurant. Since it’s so close to where I live I gave it a shot, all I asked for was the dynamite roll(7 rolls) and a bowl of miso soup for take out, not that much I was asking for and I waited a good 15 minutes for it, but that didn’t really bother me that much since I was just over viewing their take out menu. So she called me up giving me my food I ordered and it looked a bit small when she handed me the plastic bag and she charged me the following I ordered and I just asked her if what I ordered was inside here, miso and dynamite and she’s like«yeah, yeah of course» an I isn’t bother looking so I just walked back home. Upon returning home I got set up to eat and my miso wasn’t there! Ohhhhh I knew it! And come on sloppy looking rolls there too. So upsetting but I didn’t want to go back there again hence I wasn’t too pleased. *sigh

Recent visits have been disappointing. The nigiri are not proportional anymore. Too much rice and fish did not drape over the rice nicely like before. The chopped scallop roll didn’t taste too fresh either. And the beef teriyaki was on the gamey side… Sigh. Please improve. Queensborough needs decent Japanese food again.

I was happy to see a sushi joint open up within walking distance to my house. However, I have been disappointed in the two times I have visited for take out. The first time was in the summer and they had their front door open, which was letting flies in. Second time the rice was cold :( If they pick up their quality they will survive. I will give them one more try.

Quite nice, decent prices. I recommend the Spicy Combo. Spicy Tuna Roll one of the best I’ve ever had, if not THE best. More often than not, food tastes great, but once in a blue moon, there’ll be a strange taste to it. Not bad, just not the norm.

I hate giving a place with good service a bad review but anyhow here goes: I came here yesterday for lunch, I got seated quickly and my order was taken right away and I was given tea. I waited about 10 – 15 min for the food which is a bit long since no one was there except me, finally after what seemed like forever the food came. I ordered the teriyaki combo with beef teriyaki roll, chicken teriyaki roll, and instead of BC roll I got a california roll. Now me being the blunt person that I am, I have to say that the food sucked, like it was decent size but I think it was old or spoiled or something, it just didn’t taste right. The lady serving me was very sweet, didn’t speak english very well but for the most part she was really nice. I won’t be coming back here though. Sorry Lucky Sushi, you gotta do something about your food quality if you want repeat customers.

This place has been opened for a few months now. They have added some décor, changed the tables on different locations and added more hot foods in the mix. Overall I haven’t experienced a decrease in the quality of food. The prices are slightly cheaper than other sushi bistros. My 13 year old loves the teriyaki chicken don and I love the Tofino roll. The gyoza aren’t bad, but a seasoned Japanese food diner can tell it is not authentic, possibly frozen. Service is not bad considering it’s a mom/pop restaurant and I’ve never seen other staff there(gotta love family businesses) There has been an increase of neighbours/folks going there now. Hopefully more hot foods can be added on the menu soon.

We ordered take out from here. It’s a small place and it was busy at the time so our order took longer than the 20 minutes we were told. The quality of food wasn’t too bad. It’s not going to win any awards but the price was appropriate for the quality. The sushi was well made and the only complaint we had was that the rice they used did not taste quite right. It was either the wrong type of rice or they did not make it properly. Will have to try it again to see if that was a one off or if that is how they make it.
