I generally don’t review many Convenient stores as I usually don’t go to them often because I generally like fair prices but as I was leaving the Gamedeals around the corner from this place with my friends, I decided to look around for mostly pure spite. They obviously have many of the random things you would find in a convenient store, such as snacks, drinks, magazines and stuff, but luckily for me, they also accept credit cards, which is great because out of all the convenient stores out there, most of them that would accept them would probably be the big chain ones like Mac’s or 7 – 11. I generally won’t be around New Westminister but when I’m around the corner and was itching to buy something quick to drink, I might actually consider buying from them. But if you’re coming around this store, just don’t be wowed with the prices for obvious reasons.

Let’s all give our local convenience stores a little love, shall we? My friendly neighbourhood Mac’s is located just inside the doors of Columbia Station and it’s got all the candy, magazines, and drinks I need to make it through my transit adventures. If they had some Snapple, I’d give them even more love. This Mac’s also sells transit passes, and has debit, so it makes Columbia one of the few stations where you can buy passes and faresaver tickets without actually leaving the station. It’s so freaking backwards we can’t buy that stuff from a Translink vending machine, and a lot of stores that sell those items anywhere near stations or bus exchanges don’t take debit. Lastly, my Mac’s love isn’t complete without a little love for the friendly guys that man the till. They’re always so nice, in a world-weary kinda way, and always have a smile for me. Plus they must have some magic Mac’s elves back there, because they keep a clean store. They definitely take pride in the place,
