I really love this space. I don’t make my own cards or anything, but it totally makes me want to. Also, their selection of stationary makes me want to write novels to friends and send in my Unilocal reviews on beautiful stock.

Years later and I am still frequently visiting here. So much selection, and the owner is always so helpful with even aesthetic choices and ideas. They always have something great in the sale section! I really appreciate how they always seal up my papers/cards/envelopes etc in plastic before bagging them just in case it inevitably rains :)

Cute little stationary shop with stamps, papers, cards etc. I couldn’t stay long in the store as there was an odd smell, however, the items were of quality and ranged from fun to sophisticated. I find it ironic that the store is called«Paper Poet» in a world that is so computerized and social network orientated. Am I the only one whom writes hand written letters and sends them in the mail?

This shop seems to be primarily focused on wedding invitation stuff, but I certainly like to browse around. Wish they had a little bit more in terms of books and journals(what paper addict doesn’t love a nice new book) but overall I’m very glad they survive in downtown NW.

Great variety of paper products/stationary/wedding invites. We purchased our invites at Paper Poet, would go back because they are local. Only gave a 3 star rating instead of 4 which could easily be earned if they accepted American Express and were a little friendlier to their customers.

Paper Poet continues to amaze me. It’s my favourite place to get supplies for stamping and making homemade cards and other papercrafts, because they not only carry all a great array of papers, stamps, inks and other supplies, but the owner, Tonya, is so nice and really knows her stuff. It makes a big difference for example, to know if you’re planning to make a Christmas card featuring a big starry sky, which embossing powder will make the shiniest gold stars. I also love that the staff make such creative samples to show what you can do with paper(or perhaps boxes) and ink if you’ve got a little time to spare. The holiday displays are always great, and even when the store has been busy, they have helped me find the right materials for the project and have shared many a helpful technique. And… it’s not all cheesy like the big chain store. You know the one. No aisles of fake flowers or fluorescent light at Paper Poet. Just beautiful paper and possibilities.

I was very happy with the level of attentiveness and professionalism at Paper Poet. I purchased my wedding invitations here and had a tight budget as well as a short time line to get them in. Tonya helped me pick out a design and printed them all within 2 weeks! I had been told at other places that it typically takes 4 – 6 weeks. Thanks Paper Poet, you saved the day!

This is where you want to buy paper! Beautiful quality, no tacky scrap-book stuff, all 8X11 sizes for easy printing AND so many great envelopes. They make their own pockets and folding cards which are like envelopments but better(and cheaper) and they have more envelope mixing and matching options too. Make sure you order well in advance if you need a volume of something for your wedding as many things are made to order. I also like the vibe here, they definitely aren’t an in-your-face tulle filled wedding store.(Low gag-factor).
