Saturday 4:30pm 2 of us. Seated us at the back where all the waiters and waitress come out of the kitchen on going. Dish 1– Lasagna, no taste, dry, only had ½ dish due to being hungry could not finish it. Dish 2– my plate edges were so scratched, told Manager. Scallop prawn pasta linguine, NO taste to the sauce bland but eatable. Service was good, she was very polite and accommodating… Manager only offered us a free desert or a gift certificate, we declined, he did not offer a discount on the bill and did not get a discount. This Restraunt has been here for many years and for the Manager to offer a discount for such very popular place wouldn’t have been out of the question, Would I go there again? I wouldn’t go out of my way again to go there, but if I was in the area maybe, and would try a different dish. kymm

This is one of our go-to spots for dinner. Good value with the«all included» meals and as much bread as you can eat. Favourite dishes include the tortellini, the pesto, and the grilled garlic chicken. Drink specials tend to be good as well.

I have always loved Olde Spaghetti Factory. A lot of my friends dismiss it as good. I agree that it is not the best Spaghetti joint out there, however Spaghetti Factory offers an experience that no other pasta restaurants can offer. It could be the full service offering of free bread, salad and their delicious Neopolitan Ice Cream dessert. This particular place is New Westminster was no different than the Gastown one. Despite Gastown’s location advantage and proper setting for its Olde World environment, both establishments have the same level of service and food for my taste. The host, waiters and waitresses were all kind and polite. although I have only been here when it wasnt busy. I cannot really say which pasta or spaghetti as I’ve always liked anything I’ve had so far. My favorites though would be Seafood Fettuccine Alfredo and Tortellini Pomodoro. My favourite part is the Neopolitan ice cream for dessert or sometimes they would have the Pistachio which is also awesome.

We probably would’ve enjoyed our time if our waitress was trained properly! This african Canadian waitress with glasses(didn’t catch her name, would like to point her out to management) was terrible. My wife asked for water, not sprite. We asked you to write our order down because we knew you wouldn’t remember all of it, because you had to come back to our table TWICE to double check. Why not just write it down?! I asked for my spaghetti with spicy meat sauce and just get regular meat sauce BUT of course the bill says spicy meat sauce. I don’t care about the ten cents, I care about good service and people being attentive when they’re at their job. We usually go to the one in Gastown and it looks like we’ll be keeping it that way until management actually steps in at this location and gives their staff a nice wake-up call! Gastown Location over New West Location, avoid if possible!

I guess I’m a sucker for eateries that have not changed in decades in this ever changing restaurant saturated city.(Vancouver and burbs) A decent meal can be had for a very good price. The penne with corizio is really good and has never let me down. Bread, coffee or tea and ice cream all come with the meal. Bonus. Hard to go wrong. Thanks.

Busy place esp. on weekend nights. Food is decent. Soup or salad, a main dish, ice cream included for 1 price. Service is spotty. We’ve had really attentive friendly service or like tonight, quite indifferent. Weren’t even asked if we wanted to order anything other than water to drink. Then, water glasses were never refilled. Depends on who the server is. Overall, family-friendly restaurant.

I go to the spaghetti factory at least once a week, personally for myself, the one in New West is the best one. I’m also known as «the regular» there, it’s awesome haha and I’ve been to all of them in the lower mainland besides the one in Whistler so I had my experiences at most of the other ones nearby, I love this restaurant. Great food, great atmosphere, great people, and amazing prices for what you get! The only downside at the New West restaurant is the parking, but overall it’s a great place to go out and eat!

Location = New Westminster. Party = 3. Ambiance = Excellent. We love the decors! Service = Very good. Seated by the window facing Carnavon St. We were served by the batender/waiter to our satisfaction. My baby back ribs was good but not impressed with the spaghetti that came with it. It was plain with no hint of herb or anything. I guess I must order the main spag dish to get everything in it. At any rate, our dining experience was really good.

I’ve been to the Old Spaghetti Factory twice in my life so far. The first time was in Toronto over ten years ago after climbing the stairs of the CN tower for a charity event and the second was last week. Now, pasta can never be quite as satisfying as when you’ve hauled yourself up more than two thousand steps but the lasagna I had at the New West location on Sunday was pretty darn good. The«it’s all included» entrees are an amazing deal that come with sides and dessert at no extra cost and the atmosphere is very warm and inviting. A really comfortable place for hearty comfort food.

The only downside of this location is the parking situation as it’s located at a skytrain station. There, now that I’ve got that out of the way I can gush about this location. The prices are very reasonable, as are the portion sizes, the food quality is the top of what you’d get at the chain, but where they really shine is their service — prompt, attentive, friendly, and flexible. And you’re near the boardwalk so you can go for a walk and burn off some of the great food when their service has you all taken care of before your paid parking fully expires.

DH& I came here on a Thursday night shortly before 6 pm. We were seated after 5 minutes. Our server was Elysha. She was friendly & cheerful. However, she didn’t introduce herself. DH ordered the Spicy Chorizo penne with Clam Chowder($ 2.50 extra) & I had the Seafood Linguini with prawns & bay scallops with Minestrone which was tasty without being salty. Beware if your server asks if you would like your pasta baked with a light layer of cheese(costs $ 1.00 extra) but they don’t tell you that till after you say you want it. The bread was served warmed with 1 pot of regular butter + 1 pot of garlic butter. You can also get more bread later. The spumoni ice cream was kinda strange. I thought spumoni had candied fruit in it. But it was like chocolate/mint/vanilla ice cream mixed together. It was a bit too sweet for my taste. You also get tea/coffee included. Everything was delicious. We would come here again.

If you have fond memories of Old Spaghetti Factory, don’t come here again. The bread is some sort of awful ciabatta concoction much worse than what they used to offer, the caesar salad they offer is much worse than it used to be, and much smaller, and the pasta portions are also smaller(though taste about the same). The prices have also gone up together with these changes. Altogether my meal was 2 $ cheaper than I would pay at Olive Garden with half the value. Why would anyone eat here lmao

Ordered the Chicken Alfredo Ravioli: Portion size was SMALL. If you are hungry do not come here. It literally looked like a sampler or appetizer. Tasted good but not worth for the price. Service was ok. Nothing good nothing bad.

During my university years, this was my favourite restaurant. I loved that the price included everything. I revisited this restaurant recently with my family. The food is average but passable. My salad was drowning in dressing. I rather eat my salad with minimal dressing but I did not ask if the dressing could be on the side. My baked tortellini pasta was okay. I found the meat filling to be bland. The tomato sauce was alright and there was too much cheese on top. Ice cream and tea was a nice way to end the meal! The service was slow. Our server was the only one managing that section of the restaurant. She was trying her best to multitask multiple tables at once. She would bring drinks to multiple tables on one trip, etc.

Just terrible. Wow, just Left the Old spaghetti Factory, and we regret paying for that«meal». Ok, so you get warm bread to start, after that it goes downhill. The salad they give you is that pre-mixed bagged Dole salad, with white iceberg lettuce, some scraps of red cabbage and carrot sticks… WOW… served overflowing on a plate that looks like it came from my grandma’s crawlspace. Next was our main course. G/F got the managers mix with meat sauce & mushrooms. Literally tasted like Chef Boyardee. Salty, yet bland, the tomato sauce was almost sour, and the noodles were just bland«waterlogged» strings. Mushrooms were almost guaranteed to be canned, also just tasted like preservatives/salt. Topped with a GLOB of melted cheese about half an inch thick. If the sight of slightly browned cheese is enough to satisfy you, this place might meet your standards. My order was the veggie lasagna. Again, with the waterlogged pasta, starchy with no real flavour. The carrot sticks were the same ones from the Dole salad, just barely warmed, more sour tomato sauce. I guess the one decent bite i had was a mix of spinach and cheese. Ice cream was… ice cream, enough for a few bites but nothing special, pretty sweet and obviously low quality. The coffee and tea were also SO bland. It tasted like somebody had rung out the paper filters into my mug. The person who owns this restaurant chain is probably raking in cash considering this place was actually full, and the mark-up is so high for such basic ingredients. DREADFUL

I visited this place for the first time last week and was pleasantly surprised. The food was affordable and delicious. The staff were very pleasant. Even though the place was really busy, my food arrived in good time.

Seriously, for the price, how can you complain? We arrived on a busy Saturday night and were greeted by a friendly hostess who took our name and said the wait would be about 5 minutes. Not even a minute after we sat on the bench in the entrance, our name was called. We got an awesome booth in the corner and our server came by right away with sourdough bread and two waters with lemon. He gave us a couple minutes to decide on what we wanted and came back promptly. We didn’t wait long for our food, our server was great at making sure our waters were always refilled, and even gave us more bread. Although our server was prompt and friendly enough, he never smiled, and I’m pretty sure he may have been an undercover CIA agent. Still, he did his job and he did it well. Both our meals(with no beverages) came to less than $ 30! With tax! Our meals came with unlimited bread, choice of soup or salad(we upgraded one soup — for $ 2.50 — to the French Onion soup. It was really good!), ice cream, AND coffee or tea! We left happy and full. Although I wasn’t blown away by the quality of the food, there’s nothing to complain about. If you’re looking for a cheap night out, this is the spot to go.

I AM that girl that always finds something wrong with restaurants … and personally I am proud of the title I’ve gained by family and friends because I believe that if you are paying for something you should get it. and customer service is a big deal for me. I weigh heavy on that . Now for me to give this place 5 stars is a big deal to me and those around me cause they know. something usually goes wrong but it didn’t here . Here are my comments below: — Service: — Excellent. we went in with our toddler awake. asked to be seated in a Boothe so that she could sit eat and colour on her own. by the time they prepare the Boothe which was no less than say 3 mins she fell asleep so we asked for a table cause the Boothe were raised. they showed us one table we didn’t like it and they happily moved us. all smiles no complaints. very helpful. our hostess was able to get us bread while we waited on out server who was prompt. she took drink orders came back and took food orders. we requested that the main course was brought asap as we hadn’t eaten much that day and we were starved! By the time we finished the yummy soup pasta was here! Our server was very attentive and we also got alot of interaction(greeting check ups etc) from the on duty manager. he was great also . Food: — Fresh and delicious are the two words that I use to describe their food . My fiancé had the spicy chorizo amd I had the tortellini. both excellent. It did not taste like the tomato sauce came out of the can. it was fresh clean crisp herby taste that u expect from traditional Italian tomato sauce. also wasnt took thick(spicy chorizo) buy personally I prefer thicker Pasta sauce but it was stull yummy and the fiancé liked it so I guess my preference doesn’t matter here lol Tortellini is vegetable based excellent for vegetarians however I am not vegetarian and I still loved it. I do enjoy vegetables tho so idk. tortellini was a mixed tomato based sauce and was thicker like how I like it. also tortellini didn’t taste frozen or over cooked or like it was sitting there forever . Can we take a minute to talk about this ridiculously yummy bread with garlic whipped butter? Sooooo delish I cannot get over it. I would go for the bread alone lol We had the minestrone soup again delish fresh and yummy . We had the mixed icecream it was good. Just icecream in a bowl ntn too fancy but still no ice in it and it hadn’t separated so u know it wasn’t in the back of the fridge since ever . We had strawberry lemonade. again standard syrup based lemonade with strawberry syrup. standard for flavored lemonade. but still good wasn’t too tart nor too sweet right amount of balance . Price: — Very affordable … bread, soup or salad, main course and desert for under 15 bucks each(for the meals we ordered) that’s good. portions aren’t overwhelmingly large. but I was able to take hime a small amount of pasta and leave full! A few things to note : — 1 I was not going to try it cause of the reviews I saw on here, if it’s under 4 stars I usually don’t go. but I’m glad fiancé made me go . 2. We went very late around 930 when I would expect the staff to be tired therefore shitty food and service cause everyone wants to go home. and it was the total opposite . 3. They weren’t jam packed but they were on the busier side… 4. In regards to service. please note that although my server was excellent service is determined by each individual server and their mood that day… Anyways definatelty glad I didn’t not listen to the negative reviews on here and we decided to go cause I was rather happy when I left … I am pretty sure I will frequent this place.

Surprisingly good! Had the chicken parmigiana with Alfredo spaghetti and it was delicious. The meal started with bread and butter, then a garden salad with blue cheese dressing, then the main course, then ice cream for dessert. All included in the dish so it’s a very good deal. Our server was super friendly so I had a pretty good time. Will be back for sure.

Surprisingly, I’ve never eaten at the OSF ever, despite having lived in Vancouver for 18 years of my life LOL! Today was my first time, and despite the bad things I’ve heard about this place, it was actually pretty good! I ordered the managers special, and got their brown sauce spaghetti, with the clam sauce. The brown sauce was really yummy! The clam sauce was alright, nothing special. Every meal also comes with a loaf of sourdough bread(which I finished hehe) a hot drink, and icecream for dessert! In the end I ended up paying $ 12.50 for my meal, with is a pretty good deal, imo!
